Hello, I am Brainlagx. I just recently arrived in this Hive space, and love seeing all the art community since I am an aspiring artist myself. I am currently practicing with 3D-modelling as part of my free time hobbies, and would love to share.

For this week I will share my process of making Kobold Miner with low-poly style. I learned a lot from this art. Can't wait to see what my 3 years of future art will look like. Hopefully, I can be a great artist-designer, that's my biggest dream so far. This is the process I went through using Blender.

Before

To start , I recreate Kobold Miner in my own style using low-poly only, The important part here is that I need to figure out his determining characteristics that can make this product indeed looks like a kobold miner for example his earring/goggle/candle/cape/and of course his cute tummy.😆

After

Hehe tadaaaaa it looks great tho btw 🤣 , I'm happy after coloring process n few bit lighting it turn out to be a super cool kobold miner.

Before

The most fun part for me is to recreate this candle 🕯 from 2d to 3D, before that I try to use fire🔥 default in blender but the final render did not suit with low poly style, so I decided to delete all and redesign it only using default cube object.

After

BOOM!!!🔥 Add color and few point lighting, now Kobold Miner can dig gold as much as possible without fear of the dark. Uhhh, no no, them kobolds definitely not dumb for putting candles on their head.

To make the scene more interesting, I need to add a little bit of seasoning😆😆.

For the background , I created a cave for Kobold Miner do his job to feed his family I guess😂.
