Alcohol markers art .

I’ve been busy yesterday, had friends over. That’s why there was no post from me. It doesn’t mean I wasn’t doing art. It’s just takes a lot of time for me to do an art and the compose a post. Well, I’m sure you all know about it.

I was working on a drawing of a Nutcracker ornament. It was an art lesson from Vsemart. The only difference was that they were working with watercolors and I wanted to try working with my alcohol markers.

Materials used.

Regular pencil

Pink Eraser

Smooth thick white paper

Alcohol markers

Black liner

Process.

• First step was drawing the pencil sketch. This part was pretty easy, since the Nutcracker is mostly made of rectangles.

• Next step was coloring the face and then the hat. His face turned out darker than how it was shown in the lesson, so I later went over it with colorless blender. For the hat I used warm red and cold red markers, it was challenging to blend two of these colors.

• In this step I got carried away and colored most of the Nutcracker . You can see I used Navy blue for the boots, yellow for the belt, pants, and shoulders. I used red for the coat, and ultramarine for the mouth and sleeves.

• Next step is the hand in the mitten. I really like this mitten, it reminds me of my winter time childhood, and all the fun games with snow. I used the same color for the hand as for his face. Mitten was colored with lavender and violet colors.

• I’m almost done here, just need to color around Nutcracker with light blue and trace all the lines with black liner. In order to make the blue color that is closer to Nutcracker darker, I colored around him at least three times.

• The pupils of his eyes have too mich of white, so add more of black.
