Meet the Portulaca grandiflora from my garden. These beautiful flowers are also called as moss rose and sun rose. There are also called as 8 o'clock flower and 10 o'clock flower, but why are this flowers called as 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock flowers? because these flowers will bloom every day at 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock depending on the type.
These beautiful flowers comes in different colors such as Yellow, Rose, Pink, Red, White etc.... Its so unfortunate that i don't have all the colors available for this flower.
This flowers is not as big as many other beautiful flowers such as rose and lotus. Even though it is small it is very vivid and very colorful and needless to say, very beautiful.
This flowers are originally from Brazil but now widely available all over Asia. The plant itself grows less than 50cm in height and they mostly prefer to crawl and spread quickly and the flowers will be about 3 cm in size.
This flower is called sun rose because of the love this flower has for the sun. Sunflower follows the sun where as sun rose bloom with the sun rise.
This flower is an example that beauty comes in all sizes and colors. And the honey bees love this flowers like crazy. Not only honey bees but also ants and butterflies loves this flowers like crazy.
