Halo everyone...

Some time ago I went to Miyada to see a folk festival called Omatsuri. It was a very busy festival and I couldn't just miss it.

The festival is in Miyada, in the Kamiina district of Nagano. It's about 2 hours from my apartment. So I went there with my room mate.

Omatsuri or Matsuri is a folk festival held by Japanese people to express gratitude to the gods according to Japanese belief. Meanwhile, Matsuri in English is Immortalized.

This is my first Omatsuri festival. I didn't know anything about this festival. When my friend took me to Miyada to see this festival, I became excited. In the midst of busy work, going to a nice place with an event that is steeped in Japanese culture is good.

In this Omatsuri festival there are many traditional dances performed, such as the Bon Odori dance. This dance is very closely related to Japanese culture and Buddhist beliefs. Apart from that, there is also the Hadaka Matsuri tradition, a tradition carried out by men to surprise foreign tourists. In this tradition, participants are required to be naked.

I was at the Omatsuri festival all day because I was looking forward to the Hanabi, which are the fireworks that signal the end of the festival. What do you think? Have you ever had experience going to the Omatsuri festival?

It was best experiences as long as visited Japan besides the Popular places. I wish I have that nice experience next. Thank you for stopping by my blog.
