Short walk, big worry...

This morning, when I left for work, I had in mind to write a post for the Buildings themed contest.

I took pictures of apartment buildings in my neighborhood, as well as several new high-rise buildings in the new part of the city dominated by a high tower, but as I crossed the bridge on the Sava River, I noticed that the water level of the river was slowly rising.

I'll leave the buildings for another day, today the news about the floods caught my attention...

Until a few days ago, the Sava River bed was much emptier than it is today.

The water level has risen a little compared to two weeks ago, when it was still hellishly hot, but it still hasn't reached a dangerous height, with the rains and floods that have poured down in recent days.

But I wonder if they will in the next few days...

I follow the news every day and watch cataclysmic reports about large floods in Austria, Poland, Czech Republic. Slovakia, Romania, and Hungary, all in the surrounding countries, and I'm thinking...

When will the flood wave reach my country, my city, which lies at the estuary of the Sava River and the Danube?
Did you walk by a river today?
Are you worried about flooding or could you enjoy a walk by the river?

A combination of a short walk with a picture of some buildings, as well as the Sava river, is all I have prepared for this Wednesday, in a very short #wednesdaywalk

When the flood wave comes and goes, I will walk past this tower on the Belgrade waterfront promenade and share with you some happier and better pictures.
