Within the past few weeks, things aren't that easy and the weather mood is not what people are expecting, There is this saying raining is like a blessing and we all know how we do crave for one especially when we are in the sunny season and when heat is everywhere. We always pray for it to rain and at some point when it started raining non-stop we always pray for it to stop. In this part of the world, we are in a situation were we wish the rain should just stop, since 7 days now, we have been experiencing consecutive rain and the fear it usually bring with it. Lot of things are really happening and many properties are getting destroyed, even though we wish for it to rain, we always want it in a minimal way but we have no control over nature.
In Lagos, the rain have cause lot of damages, to houses, cars, animals even to humans life, it all started in a little way and we were all happy because we do appreciate the weather mood it do bring along, everywhere will be cool, we can have a good night sleep without really experiencing heat, but it keep raining heavily every blessed day and it started causing floods, water everywhere on the road that it started entering houses with poor draining systems, it increases the traffic rate and also cause damages to cars which got filled with water.
The one that saddens my heart was the incident that happened in oko oba here in Lagos state, not really far from my side. A vehicle was trapped in the flood and it was really bad, I heard one of the passenger die but others were saved. We as an individual we all have an impact to make, most times we cause the flood in one way or the other, if a good drainage system was put in place, there is high probability the flood wont occur in the first place, may God help us. Last week, I was also involved in an accident which I talked about here, it was terrible but we were all safe with little injury, it was really a shocking experience and one have to be very careful when it come to driving in the rain.
