Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This is going to be Week 46, Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last week Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to come to an end. We are currently on our third topic for this week which is, “CRIME SCENE”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “FREE HIGHER EDUCATION”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us what they thought about education being free. They painted a picture of how the world could possibly be if people no longer had to pay for higher education anymore.
We got to see the different ways free education would affect people. Both the merits and demerits. We saw how people will react to it and how it would most likely affect the economy as well. It was an enlightening topic indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w46e2 tags. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author believes that education should be free, especially for those who can’t afford it. He talked about how education was important for the development of a country. We’ve seen how people make bad life decisions just because they were unable to get a good education, so having it free will bring it to everyone.

This author mentioned that while it would be great to have free education, it would just be impossible to do because of the financial implication that would entail. She also gave some of the advantages having free education would bring about, and then the disadvantages as well. You can learn more when you read the full post.
IS HIGHER EDUUCATION MEANT TO BE FREE? by @emrysjobber
For this author, he explained the different ways free education would affect both developed and developing countries. He also talked about how it would affect the standard of teaching. He then concluded by saying he feels higher education should not be free, but instead made affordable for everyone.
