I would like to start this post with a beautiful and thoughtful quote from Sheryl Sandberg

Feeling confident – or pretending that you feel confident – is necessary to reach for opportunities. It’s a cliché, but opportunities are rarely offered; they’re seized. – Sheryl Sandberg

This Quote has everything that I experienced In my first job. So, The Journey Got Started after I completed My graduation. To be Born into a middle-class family is not easy. There is always A chance to have Financial problems.

The same was the case with me, We had financial problems, and as the elder son of my parents, it was my responsibility to support my family.

After completing My graduation ( 14th Standards ), I went to the markets to find a job, I dropped my CV in different offices and always got rejected in the interviews.

The reason for rejection was always that I did have not the experience to qualify for the job.

How a person can have an experience if they are not ready to give him a job?

I even asked this question in many interviews but all in vain.

I couldn't wait for a long time because of my financial situation, I asked my uncle if he knew someone who could offer me a Job.

At this time, the luck was with me, he had a friend who was looking for someone to work in his shop, but the job was not according to my qualifications.

I Had no choice, but to accept the offer, the shop owner asked me to come on the very next day and then he will tell me about the job.

I went to the job the next, The job was to maintain the record of the items in the shop. Everything was new for me, I just had no experience in doing anything like that.

On the Second day of my job, the shop owner asked me to count to stock and add the Number of items in some software present in the shop.

It was the job of some expert, who already had done it and had some experience doing so. I couldn't say no to him and started counting the items and writing them in the notebook to add them later in the software.

It took me almost 4 days to count the items in the shop and write everything in the notebook.

Now It was time to replicate the notebook in the software. I turned on the PC and opened the software. I felt like I was in a totally different world. the software was not easy to use and believe me it was not user-friendly.

I asked the owner to call the person who made this software and come to teach me about it for one day or 2. But the software owner refused to come.

I forgot to add something. when I was counting the stock, the shop owner strictly instructed me that, the count of items in the shop should be the same as added in the software, there should not be a single error, or I would be allowed to continue this job.

We are humans and we tend to make mistakes and errors. Nobody is perfect. His words were so harsh that I remember them even today.

I had to leave this job. The lesson I learned from this experience is that should never underestimate your ability and never agree to do a job that is not according to your qualifications.

You will get poor behaviour from the people and you will be treated badly. I should have not given up on finding the job according to my qualifications.
