My Wedding | The Unforgettable Day

Hi Everyone,

I came across an interesting topic by Hive Learner community about the Wedding day. I'm already married this is why I could participate in this amazing contest. But if you are not married then still you can participate by telling how are you to celebrate that day when come.

Wedding is an exceptional day which comes in everyone's life. I love such events which has mixed feelings of sad and happiness. Groom side is always seems happy but the bride side people are seems like sad because they are sending their heart forever to another place..

I can just pray that every couple live their dreamy life which they think together before getting married. Hopping for the best.

My Wedding Day

I live in an asian country where the wedding event celebrate by so many ways. Some people extend this day for a whole week due to their happiness and some are only celebrate this day for a single day which is Islamically good.

I arranged everything on by my own. We had only 3 events which is Mehndi, Barat, and Walima but I am here only telling about the Barat day (the day when Nikkah happened).

I'm Muslim. In Islam, we have to be Nikkahfied and sign the paper on Nikkah Nama (Where the bride and groom details are mentioned). So, we had to be Nikkahfied first.

I and my hubby signed the Nikkah paper first on 30th January 2021 then we had a yummy lunch which was consisted on 12 dishes. Sadly, I have no picture of the Marquee and Meal because all of them captured in the video. This is why I can't show you over here.

Then we had to make a special entry which looks like this.

Doodh Palai Rasam

Traditionally, we had to follow few activities which happened on every wedding day in my region and Doodh Palai is one of them where a bride's sister bring a yummy milk for the groom. In return, she asked some money which a groom have to give before drinking that milk.

My sister asked very less amount which my hubby gave her after cracking some jokes. xD My hubby drank it and pass the half of milk to me for drinking. This means we both enjoyed and have some fun on the stage.

Here's how the milk pot looks like:

After few days of wedding

After a week, the bride's parents came to their daughter house for taking her to home back for a day. It is also one of the rasam which is usually not followed by everyone nowadays. They came and take me to back parents house for a single night.

After spending a day there, I came back with my hubby to our home where I shifted after getting married. This is one of those pictures which I took coming back to our place.

Enjoyed A Lot

I enjoyed my wedding day a lot because everything was pre-planned by me and everything goes well according to what I think and planned. The Marquee staff was so cooperative with use. They managed reception very well.

Especially the entry scene was according to my wish this is why I was happier that day. The best thing is that drone shots, pictures, and movies is saved for the rest of life.

Enjoy❣️
