Memories
A memory is the evocation of something that happened or something that has already been talked about. Memories connect us to past experiences, which shapes our perception of the world and influences our decision-making process in the present.
Thanks to this ability to contemplate the past, we are able to plan for the future. Memories can be linked to short-term memory or long-term memory.
A few years ago I had the opportunity to visit the narrow streets of the historic center of Puerto Cabello, a port city located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, which in the past played a fundamental role in the maritime trade between Venezuela, the Antilles and Spain, which is why it was the victim of attacks by English, French and other pirates and corsairs during the XVI and XVII Centuries.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Un recuerdo es la evocación de algo que pasó o de algo de lo que ya se habló. Los recuerdos nos conectan con vivencias pasadas, lo que moldea nuestra percepción del mundo e influye en nuestro proceso de toma de decisiones en el presente.
Gracias a esta capacidad que poseemos para contemplar el pasado, estamos en condiciones de planificar el futuro. Los recuerdos pueden estar vinculados a la memoria a corto plazo o a la memoria a largo plazo.
Hace algunos años tuve la oportunidad de visitar las estrechas calles del casco histórico de Puerto Cabello, una ciudad portuaria ubicada a orillas del Mar Caribe, y que en el pasado desempeñó un papel fundamental en el comercio marítimo entre Venezuela, las antillas y España; razón por la cual, fué víctima de ataques por parte de piratas y corsarios ingleses, franceses y de otras nacionalidades durante los Siglos XVI y XVII.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
