The Breath Of Wood — An Exhibition Opening

Greetings, Fellow Art Admirers!

Almost a month has gone by since the last time I went for a photo shooting of anything. Or so it feels. Perhaps it was a bit closer. Still, long time no occasion.

This Wednesday, there was one. A person who lives on my street and crafts wood sculptures, a person whom I have previously presented, and going by the nickname of Ge Art, opened an exhibition in town.

I'm glad he finally found the courage to do so.

It might be just me but I think there is some new energy into local artists since @silver.art was appointed manager of the town's gallery.

There are two major exhibition venues, the official gallery itself, which is on the second floor of the cultural centre, just below the roof, and the transitional hall between the lobby and the
concert/theatre hall. While the gallery upstairs currently exhibits a long-term selection of the gallery's permanent paintings archive, the lobby is used to display new work, almost on a monthly basis now. Well, it takes two or three months, sometimes. Time shall tell if this continues at this rate.

Back to G. E.

It seems, for the five or six years he has done woodcraft, he was able to accumulate about a hundred and fifty artworks. Dancers, Dervish, Cats, and some not so easy to define stuff. Look at them sitting in front of the permanently exhibited paintings of old...

May his chisel stay sharp and full of energy!
