Coffee and Chess

Hello coffee lovers, today I come to share with you another interesting place in my city (Santiago de Cuba) to enjoy coffee produced in our own mountains.

Right in the heart of the city is the Chess Park where the coffee is practically hidden by the vegetation that serves as both an atmosphere and natural air conditioning. If there is something curious about this place, it is that on the marble tables there are inlaid chess boards of the same material, going hand in hand with the theme of the entire park. Not far from there is the prestigious chess academy of the city, so it is not difficult to hear some weekend if you listen carefully some debate about the scientific game.

But not only players come here, but also passersby of all kinds meet here, as well as students of all kinds, mainly from the art schools also close to this place, making it a refuge to a great extent for future intellectuals and artists.

The coffee is almost always served dark, one of those that lifts your spirits on a bad day. Rather than being an excuse to simply stay there, The coffee is actually excellent, even though it is sometimes criollo (which in other words means) that it is mixed with other types of beans, but far from damaging the drink, this is a condition that gives the coffee served here a particular personality. The espresso served there (the house specialty) is the perfect reason to arrange a meeting in a place that is commonplace for regulars, but truly out of the ordinary for those visiting the city.
