"Sweet coffee" for a hot day.

A friendly greeting dear Hivers. It is quite a pleasure for me to be in this beautiful community once again, sharing another of my coffee shop visits. As some of you already know I live in a small community far away from everything, commerce has only recently begun to flourish. So even though it is a rural area and one of the things that is grown is coffee, there are no spaces dedicated solely to selling coffee.

Not so long ago some places have been founded that have coffee shops by name or bear the word coffee, but the truth is that they are restaurants or pastry shops where, although they sell coffee, it is not the main producer. This does not mean that the coffee is bad, in fact in some places it is quite good, but it is not possible to find a space with the aesthetics and energy that we coffee lovers like.

Even so, those of us who adore coffee exist in all corners of the world, even where there are no coffee shops. So we go to these spaces in search of a warm cup of coffee. Today was one of those hot days where you feel the sun melting your skin, nothing better to endure such a merciless temperature than a cup of hot and steaming coffee.

My dear @jetta.amaya and I went to Dulce Café a comfortable place, close to where we live, about 10 minutes by car. The place has comfortable chairs, but it's a bit dark. It is the first time we visited this place, so we saw the menu and what predominates is fast food and merengadas, coffee occupies only a small space on the menu. There were cold coffee options, but when I wanted to order I was told they didn't have any at the time. I was very disappointed, in fact they only had the traditional coffee available, black or with milk. In the menu the prices are expressed in Colombian pesos.

As my dear @jetta.amaya is still in treatment and on a diet to replenish her health, she prefers to order drinks with fruit, so she ordered a strawberry milkshake. I for my part ordered a large cup of black coffee. Something that is very strange to people around here is when I ask for a strong or strong coffee, I find it very difficult to ask for a coffee the way I like it, since I don't know very well what the correct way is. In some places they call it red, black, dark; but it can mean different things depending on the person. Although we have a coffee culture in the whole region, the truth is that we do not have a culture of coffee shops, at least outside the city, and this is usually sad.

One of the things I didn't like about Sweet Café was the service. Nobody seems to be interested in the customers and when I was specific with the way I wanted my coffee the girl who served me was not happy. To my surprise the coffee was delicious, that made up for the poor service, I really enjoyed my cup of coffee while Jetta sipped her milkshake. I sweated as the hot steam caressed my face with every sip and the sun came through the door giving a yellow hue to everything.

The coffee only cost 1.50 $, which is what a simple coffee costs in the city. I thought the price was a bit exaggerated, because as I said before, the place, attention and atmosphere are important factors when it comes to enjoying a good coffee. As for the coffee and milkshake they were quite nice, with a good size and quality, so it is certainly one of the few places I can go to for a good coffee.
