Coral tooth fungus!

Hello everybody,

I was walking trough the forest of national park Heidestein in my home town of Zeist when I discovered a strange object on a dead birch tree. When I came closer I was very very surprised of what I saw.

I white "blob" full of a string like structured mass something 😅 No clue how I need to describe this, but it was something I have never seen before in my life.

Look at it? Have you ever seen this kind of mushrooms?

After a quick online search I discovered that it was a rear find in the Netherlands and it's called, "Kammetjesstekelzwam" free translated it's Combs spines fungus.

Its a saprotrophic fungus, commonly known as coral tooth fungus. Have you ever seen this in your country?

During this walk i had only my telephone with me so I didn't take nicer pictures of it. But next time I will go back with my camera and take better pictures of it.
