In eighth grade, my science teacher lifted the heaviest science book he had over his head and let it drop down on the table.
BOOM!
The kids screamed! The teacher just smiled and said,
Action, reaction!
Then he did it again.
That was just a little bang.
Where there is a little bang, there is a little hand.
In the beginning, POB was only an idea.
The POB universe originated from one single POB cell.
That was the start of POB in motion.
Before jumping to the third law of POB in motion, we should brush up on the first and second law.
The first law of POB in motion states:
POB will not change its motion unless a force is acted upon it.
For example there is a force necessary to propose new rules and innovation for POB in motion.
The second law of POB in motion states:
A force applied to POB at rest causes it to change its velocity at a constant rate in the direction of the force.
For example a bear or bull can accelerate POB in one direction or another.
Now lets go to the third law of POB in motion. This is the POB law of Causality.
For every action on POB in motion there is an equal and opposite reaction.
This statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the POB blockchain in motion.
Force is calculated by the number of POB staked times acceleration.
Basically any force applied in one direction will find an equal force in the opposite direction. You might call this the Yin and Yang of community.
Why is this true?
First we should look at "action-reaction" pairs. There is a pair of forces called the "action-reaction" pair. There is also a point of contact where the bodies touch. Here is a list of some possible actions and reactions:
Contact point | Action | Reaction |
---|---|---|
comment or post | state proof of brain | upvote, downvote, no vote, followed by comment or no comment |
upvote | user A loses a little %VP | User B gets closer to trending and gains a possible share in rewards |
7 days after upvote | reward pool is distributed | User B collectes author reward and User A collects curation awards |
down vote | user A loses no %VP | User B gets farther from trending and loses possible share in rewards |
7 days after upvote | less reward pool is distributed to that post | User B collects less author reward and User A collects no curation award |
mute | Community account mutes a user | User throws a fit and calls friends |
stack | User A gets more POB power | Larger voting influence and curation rewards |
sale | User A sells POB and can eat | More POB is available on the market |
buy | User buys POB and can stack | less POB is available on the market |
engagement | interactions | high ranking on Alexa |
community traffic | increased traffic on Hive | increased Hive users and investors |
The last two collumns come with a help from my friend @edystringz
The proof
- Make any contact point zero and the total force acting upon it are zero.
- Therefore if only two forces act on a contact point of zero,
they must add to zero, equal size and opposite directions.
Let's see if this third law of POB in motion can be applied to other communities.
Here's an example of the law of causality in Leo:
- Action: User posts the #leo tag in a post that has nothing to do with finance or crypto.
@mineopoly/as-humid-as-a-leech-on-a-hippo-s-butt
- Reaction: User muted from the community and comment made on @scooter77's post was not visible.
Action two: User posted an article stating frustration about being muted:
@mineopoly/muted-on-leo-finance
Reaction two: Leo curator explained the situation:
And unmuted User:
Conclusion:
The law of causality is not only in effect in the POB community but also can be applied to other communities as well. Each community will react differently but will react to any force brought upon them.
Also keep in mind that a reaction can become an action leading to a reaction that becomes an action leading to a reaction that becomes an action causing a continuous cycle of actions and reactions. This can be a good thing or a bad thing, but it just goes to show that the blockchain is in motion.
As long as there are actions and reactions we know there is a pulse. There are users and innovators and there is the law of POB in motion and as long as POB is in motion we are going somewhere.
The incident with Leo happened about 10 days ago but it seems like 10 light years in blockchain time. I'm glad it happened because it gave an example of how the blockchain can work. We don't have to be afraid of pressing the wrong button on accident and starting world war three. There are cool people all over the blockchain. We can talk things out and move forward.
A STRANGE GAME
HOW ABOUT A NICE GAME OF CHESS?
