While I was engaging in my cleaning activity, I wondered if anyone actually notices at all. Not that it actually mattered, I don’t need anyone’s validation. But you know the difference is clear. Every morning, the moment I am done even I would look back and feel good for what I have accomplished. There would be no traces of dirt at all.
Right there I was approached by a neighbor, he was on his way to work. We do not talk much, just greeting. He said “thank you for all you do”.
He further went on to say that in the morning he usually noticed how clean the street was, which was not so the evening before. Then he saw me a few times and understood. He asked if I am paid by the community to do this. I said no. He was surprised and expressed his appreciation.
So keep up what you do. Even if they do not say it, there are people that notice you and appreciate you. These were my thoughts as I went about my usual routine.
