ENDANGERED STRAY CATS ๐Ÿ˜ฟ | MY STRAY CAT๐Ÿ˜ธ | POEM ON STRAY CATS BY ME ๐Ÿฑ

โ€œTime spent with cats is never wasted.โ€ โ€“ Sigmund Freud.

ย ย ย Hi everyone, some of you might not like this about your cats but the theme of this post is to save the street animals from extinction. What do you think of when you hear of a street cat? Not brushed, dirty, moving in swarms and having bacteria. You all, are maybe having the similar species in your homes, you feed them well, but did you ever thought of those who are living nearby you. There was a time when these street cats also had bellies filled and lying on the ground.

ย ย ย Today these animals are facing food shortage, they donโ€™t get enough life span. They are skinny, weak and motionless. They are in kind of extinction but has anybody focused yet. Can you imagine this life when their population is on the peak, the order emerges โ€˜kill themโ€™, especially the street dogs? Yes, they are endangered species with respect to their traits and activities they are absolutely endangered. They have the abilities to hunt down their food and can climb about up to (this is what I have seen) 12 meters. While domestic house cat isnโ€™t usually capable of these things. Below is what it faces.

ย ย ย It is quite chilly at this time, everyone moves towards their shelters to protect themselves from this killing-cold but what about those who donโ€™t have a particular shelter. The street animals usually survive this cold but not when it gets too harsh.
ย ย ย It has been estimated that there are more than 100 million stray cats worldwide (Aug 2013), and according to the W.H.O there are more than 200 million street dogs worldwide (Dec 2017).

ย ย ย Today food waste and other garbage is first sealed in the plastic bags and then concealed in the modern bins. At first there wasnโ€™t much practice of these things that enabled these animals to find food more easily but the situations are now changing.

Will they lead to an extinction?

ย ย ย Well I am also inspired by this young creature, living a couple of blocks away from my home, in someoneโ€™s ruined house where nobody lives nowadays. Sometimes I go to its dwelling and feed it with some milk and sometimes meat also. The other times it is here in front of my door. It yells saying meow (where is my food). I give some milk for its little abdomen and because I know it hopes for it. After it finishes drinking the milk, it looks at me and then sees the bowl again, I think it asks for some more.

ย ย ย After drinking more than enough it becomes quiet. I sit on these stairs, and it comes to sit with me. When I stand, itrolls between my legs. Then it scrubs her face against my leg. I stand on stairs afraid that it might bite me, and then put my one leg forward and it comes and puts its head under my foot and starts to rub against the foot. Then it slides its face across my leg to feel its pain. It is learning and it is very sensitive to someone who touches its feeding bowl. When I go up on the stairs it also drives up and stands beside me like if it is a guardian and I say in my heart โ€˜Oh my little beastโ€™. What will happen when it will go away from here because I know it also needs to have a family.

POEM: A STRAY CAT

A wild, but lovely being

Coming in a hope

But facing the someoneโ€™s vain

Calling for food and shelter

But no oneโ€™s here

Who is it and where it came?

I saw it, little and young

Questioning myself

But how is it in this cold

Who didnโ€™t see it bold?

It needs an aid

shall I give it to a maid

who is it and where It came?

Feeding the milk

And thinking to get someoneโ€™s link

Stand beside me, like a guardian

When I climb, it follows?

Coming down, it mellows

Who is it and where it came?

Hopping for care, here it is

What will it do, when I leave?

Thoughtful to take it in my sleeves

Who it is, why is it?

In this cruel era of hardheartedness

ย ย ย Everyone if you think you can do something, then there is one thing that you can do, if you see a cat wandering outside, shivering from this thriving cold.

Go and Ba a helping hand

ย ย ย Let a cat spent some time with you, at least this Christmas with you so that you may feel that your heart has a good deed in it.
