Tengo muchísimos materiales guardados, telas, madera, vidrio y un largo etcétera; y aunque con el tiempo he aprendido a desligarme de las cosas y botar lo que sé que fue comprado/recolectado con un propósito que ya no existe (proyectos descartados), todavía son muchas cosas, y no tengo para todas cajas herméticas o bolsas especiales. Lo mejor que puedo hacer es procurar que los sitios donde están se mantengan limpios.
I'm not kidding. I have a lot of materials in storage, fabrics, wood, glass and a long etcetera; and although over time I have learned to detach myself from things and throw away what I know was bought/collected for a purpose that no longer exists (discarded projects), there are still a lot of things, and I don't have airtight boxes or special bags for all of them. The best I can do is to make sure that the places where they are kept are kept clean.

No odio a estos insectos, no los mato porque me siento mal por ellos (son bichitos simples que buscan la manera de sobrevivir, igual que los grillos y los hormigas), pero su efecto es terrible, no solo se comen las cosas, sino que sus feromonas huelen muy fuerte, y sus eses manchan irremediablemente las cosas.

Unfortunately most of the materials I have to throw away, because they smell awful and have impossible stains. Casi lloro cuando vi la lata mal cerrada y comprobé que todo dentro olía terrible, igual que la caja de cintas. Pero como todo está guardado en bolsas ziploc las perlas se salvaron.
But the most important of the lot of materials that reached this unforeseen furtive invasion of cockroaches, were some badly closed cans where I keep several kilograms of synthetic pearl. I almost cried when I saw the badly closed can and found that everything inside smelled terrible, just like the box of ribbons. But as everything is stored in zip lock bags, the pearls were saved.

No exagero cuando digo que las perlas fueron lo más importante, aunque sean sintéticas son muy costosas aquí y es un elemento que uso con mucha frecuencia, y para las que tengo muchos planes (hay 2 trajes que tienen muchas perlas bordadas en su diseño, no me puedo dar el lujo de perder las que tengo siendo que tengo que comprar aún más). Hace tiempo guarde muchas pequeñas cajas nuevas justamente para guardar cuentas separadas por tamaño y tipo.

Muchas veces cuando no sé qué hacer, solo abro algunas cajas de materiales y hago conteo de las cosas, y así, me acuerdo qué quería hacer. Aunque también puede ser contraproducente porque tener en mano material que n manejabas hace meses, puede hacer que quieras dejar todo de lado para empezar algo nuevo (entonces es un ciclo donde no terminas nada por la emoción del momento) ヽ(･ω･ゞ)
Many times when I don't know what to do, I just open a few boxes of materials and count things, and that way, I remember what I wanted to do. Aquí sucedió algo, cuando termine de guardar las perlas en todas las cajitas, me di cuenta que cada vez que necesitara un modelo de perla especifico necesitaría abrir cada caja…una por una… entonces busque rápidamente uno de mis troqueles y le hice una ventanita con forma de globito a todas, les coloque un pedacito de acetato y listo, así podré ver el interior in tener que destaparlas.
Here something happened, when I finished storing the pearls in all the boxes, I realized that every time I needed a specific pearl model I would need to open each box... one by one... so I quickly looked for one of my dies and made a little balloon shaped window for all of them, I put a little piece of acetate and that's it, this way I could see the inside without having to uncover them.

Quisiera poder adquirir pronto cajas organizadoras grandes para no sufrir más esta clase de incidentes, pero son demasiado costosos (los precios se han disparado de 40 a 70$ por caja, cuando antes costaban máximo entre 18 y 25$). Tristemente tuve que descartar más de 50 metros de cinta de seda, bies y encaje de distintos tamaños y colores (por estar demasiado sucias o manchadas, no todas reaccionan bien al jabón y destiñen). I wish I could buy large organizer boxes soon so as not to suffer this kind of incidents anymore, but they are too expensive (prices have skyrocketed from $40 to $70 per box, when they used to cost between $18 and $25 at most).
