Bueno para ponerlos un poco en contexto y como les mencioné en mi Post anterior! Yo estudio Medicina y por ello vivo en otra ciudad distinta a la cual me crié y crecí. Es por eso que cumplir un añito más lejos y sin mi familia se me hacía un poco abrumador no sabía si yo manejaría está situación de la mejor manera.
To give you a little context, I study Medicine and therefore I live in a different city than the one I grew up in. So for my birthday I would be without my family and that was a bit overwhelming for me, I did not know if I would handle this situation in the best way.
Mi mente simplemente se preparaba para que no ocurriera absolutamente nada.
In my head I was assuming that I wouldn't do anything for my birthday
Inclusive me desahogue con mi novio y mi mejor amigo respecto a cómo me sentía pero yo entendía que a veces las cosas suceden así y punto, en algún momento tenía que pasar. Además esta vida de adulto no es muy divertida que digamos jajaja
I even confessed to my boyfriend and my best friend about how I felt, but I understood that sometimes things happen like this and that's it, at some point it had to happen. Also this adult life is not that funny hahaha
Al pasar un par de días, mi mejor amigo (de mi ciudad natal) me confiesa que tiene un presente para mí y que el día de mi cumpleaños me dirija a un sitio tipo restaurante/café en donde hizo una reservación para mí, yo feliz y sorprendida por su gran gesto conmigo desde la distancia inmediatamente pensé en qué mis amigos de la facultad asistieran para compartir juntos
After a couple of days, my best friend (from my hometown) confesses that he has a present for me and that on my birthday I would have to go to a restaurant / cafe type place where he made a reservation for me, I was super happy and surprised by his gesture and immediately thought about my friends from the faculty so they would go with me.
Aparentemente todo estaba tomando forma, el entusiasmo en mi empezó a crecer porque ya no me imaginaba un cumpleaños tan gris, encerrada en cuatro paredes sino que a pesar de las circunstancias (covid) estaría un ratito con ellos.
Apparently everything was taking shape, the enthusiasm in me began to grow because I no longer imagined such a gray birthday, enclosed in four walls but that despite the circumstances (covid) I would be with my friends for a little while.
Lo que yo no sabía es que ya todo esto estaba planeado a mis espaldas y todos me estaban viendo la cara de tonta jajaja! peeeero. . .
What I did not know is that all this was already planned behind my back and everyone was aware of the surprise. . .but.
Lamentablemente no todo ocurrió al pie de la letras pues, la mayoría de ellos no pudieron asistir por diferentes razones que ya se salían de nuestras manos cosa que claramente me desánimo muchísimo.
Unfortunately, not everything happened how it was supposed to be, since most of my friends could not attend for different reasons that were already out of our hands, which clearly discouraged me a lot
A pesar de las malas noticias pensé que bueno, no todo es perfecto pero "todo" tenía que seguir en marcha, ya que aún esa reservación existía y moría por saber que eligió mi mejor amigo para mí.
Despite the bad news I thought "well, not everything is perfect" but everything had to keep going, since even that reservation existed and I was dying to know what my best friend had prepare for me.
Se llegó el día señoreees!! Era mi cumpleañooos y yo ya a las 5 de la mañana estaba despierta jajaja. Vi como el sol poco a poco fue haciéndose notar saliendo de entre las montañas, me tomé el tiempo para cerrar los ojos y agradecer por lo que fue, por lo que es y por lo que será.
The day has come, people !! It was my birthday and I was awake at 5 in the morning hahaha. I saw how the sun little by little was making itself notice coming out of the mountains, I took the time to close my eyes and give thanks for what it was, for what it is and for what it will be.
Ya eran las 7am cuando tocan la puerta de mi habitación, era la señora de la residencia que traía en sus manos un bizcochito que me preparo mientras empezaba a cantarme las mañanitas. Imagínense lo arrugadito que estaba mi corazón y luego lo lleno de amor que se puso. Qué manera tan bonita de iniciar mi día, ella fue lo máximo. Además empezamos a desayunar juntas por lo que se nos fue la mañana entre platicas cosa que hizo que me retrasará! Solo quedaba 1 hora para estar lista y eso para una chica es misión imposible o al menos en ese momento así lo era para mí jajaja.
It was already 7am when someone knocked on the door of my room, it was the lady of the residence who had in her hands a cake that she prepared for me while she began to sing the mañanitas to me. Imagine how wrinkled my heart was and then how full of love it became. What a beautiful way to start my day, she was the best. We also started having breakfast together so the morning left between talks, and my that time k was already late for the reservation! There was only 1 hour left to be ready and that for a girl is mission impossible or at least at that time it was for me hahaha.
Because I was in a hurry, I accidentally hurt myself but I didn't even pay attention to it, I got ready and left! My friend @iamsaray was already waiting for me with her boyfriend @dan.m98
Llegué al restaurante/café, notifique que tenía una reserva pero noté que las personas que me atendieron estaban muy misteriosas como si me estuvieran ocultando algo pero me invitaron a sentarme (yo solo esperar una porción de postre que era lo que yo me imaginaba que mi amigo me había comprado además de yo misma pedir algo más para complementar con mis amigos)
I arrived at the restaurant / cafe, I notified that I had a reservation but I noticed that the people who attended me were very mysterious as if they were hiding something from me but they invited me to sit down (I just waited for a portion of dessert which was what I imagined my friend had bought me besides myself to ask for something else to complement with my friends)
Llega la mesera, nos dice que ella tiene instrucciones de lo que debe llevar y nos quita la carta, yo tipo: what??? No entendía, ahí fue donde empezó el servicio.
The waitress arrives, she tells us that she has instructions on what she should bring and she takes the letter from us, and I was like what ??? I didn't understand, that's where the service started.
They opened with tequeños
Luego trajeron dos pizzas que estaban demasiado buenas con su bebida, ya todos estábamos full, a ese punto no podíamos más. Pero yo pensaba quien rayos pago todo esto??? Pero claro quien más que mi noviooo, él fue el que desde un principio hizo que todas las piezas encajaran, yo sospeche de todo el mundo mientras que el responsable lo tenía en mis narices.
Then they brought two pizzas that were really good with a drink, and we were all full, at that point we couldn't take it anymore. But I thought who the hell paid for all this ??? But of course it was no other than my boyfriend, he was the one who from the beginning made all the pieces fit, I suspected of everyone while the person in charge had it in my face
Fue toda una sorpresa de verdad, sin bastar con todo eso los meseros llegaron con una torta para cantarme cumpleaños y yooo muriendo de penaaa pero feliz mientras le escribía a mi novio cuánto lo amo y le agradecía por todo lo que hizo.
It was a real surprise, not enough with all that the waiters arrived with a cake singing happy birthday and I was dying of grief but happy while I wrote to my boyfriend how much I love him and thanked him for everything he achieved.
Ah pero no se olviden de mi mejor amigo, que si me compro un cheesecake (tenía razón con que sería algo dulce) que compartimos los tres porqué con todo lo anterior ya era suficiente.
Ah but don't forget about my best friend, he bought me a cheesecake (he was right that it would be something sweet) that the three of us share because all of the above was enough
Bueno sin más que decir, fue un día totalmente distinto a lo que me esperaba. A pesar de los inconvenientes fue un día perfecto.
Well without more to say, it was a totally different day from what I expected. Despite the inconveniences it was a perfect day
