Have hopes and be patient - Sanskrit Teaching.

In our life, we might comes across a situation where we were not valued as per our ability. And sometimes it happens others take credit of all our hard work. However when the real worth were identified, you will get the due treatment that we deserve. But in all this situation, we should not lose our focus and keep doing what we are best at. One of the Sanskrit scholar have defined the situation in very meaningful manner. It says :

मणिर्लुन्ठति पादाग्रे काचः शिरसि धार्यते |

क्रयविक्रय वेलायां काचः काचो मणिर्मणिः||

Manirlunthati paadaagre kaachah shirasi dhaaryate.
Krayavikraya velaayaam kaachah kaacho manirmanih.

IMG-20230303-WA0013.jpg

Manirlunthati = Manih + lunthati.
Manih = a precious jewel.
Lunthati = is struck.
Paadagre = toe of the foot.
Kaachah = ordinary glass.
Shirasi = on the head.
Dhaaryate= wears
Krayavikraya = buying and selling. Velaayaam = at the time of
manirmanih = manih + manih.

The scholar by giving examples from the real life scenario tell us that, "If a person while walking on a road finds a shining jewel, they assume it to be a piece of ordinary glass and he kicks it with his foot. While going further he finds a shining piece of ordinary glass and thinking it to be a
jewel uses it to adorn on their head. But the real worth will be identified whenever in future he will sell it or purchase a jewel he will come to know which was the ordinary glass and which was the real jewel."

The idea behind this shlokas is that people unable to identifuly the true worth of a lersone. Only an experts can evaluate the true worth of a person or thing, and ultimately the truth prevails. It takes lot of years of experince, to identify the true person rather falling in some kind of trap.
