¡Hola a todos! Tengo rato sin aparecer por estos lados, últimamente he tenido algunos compromisos que me han alejado un poco de todas las redes, sin embargo, no podía dejar pasar esta oportunidad, ya que ayer fue un día bastante especial, donde Barbara, una de mis más antiguas y queridas amigas se graduó de “Licenciada en Teatro. Mención Diseño Teatral” en la Universidad Nacional Experimental de las Artes (UNEARTE), ante una ocasión tan especial, por su puesto que decidí acompañarla en un día tan importante para ella.
Hello everybody! I have not appeared around here for a while, lately I have had some commitments that have distanced me a bit from all social networks, however, I could not miss this opportunity, since yesterday was a very special day, where Barbara, one of my oldest and dear friends graduated from “Bachelor of Theater. Theatrical Design Mention” at the National Experimental University of the Arts, with such a special occasion, I decided to accompany her on such an important day.
Barbara y yo estudiamos casi toda la escuela primaria y secundaria juntos, un largo periodo donde entablamos una gran amistad que ha perdurado con los años, por lo cual, no me podía perder un día tan especial como su graduación. Si bien no siempre estamos en contacto ni nos vemos tan seguido, siempre estamos pendientes el uno del otro en los buenos y malos momentos, es una de esas amistades reales donde no importa la frecuencia con la que se coincida, simplemente lo importante es saber que cuentas con alguien especial que puedes llamar amigo.
Barbara and I studied almost all of primary and secondary school together, a long period where we established a great friendship that has lasted over the years, so I could not miss a day as special as her graduation. Although we are not always in contact or see each other so often, we are always aware of each other in good and bad times, it is one of those real friendships where it does not matter how often we meet, the important thing is to know that we have someone special who can be called a friend.
Debido a la situación de pandemia, no sería una ceremonia como lo es normalmente en su universidad, sería un acto sencillo, pero muy significativo donde cada graduando recibiría su título y su medalla con presencia de pocas personas, por ello aunque no podría estar presente en la ceremonia, de igual manera decidí acercarme para compartir el tiempo que fuese posible y por su puesto, tomar algunas fotos para el recuerdo, asistí junto a mi amigo Carlos, otro de mis más antiguos amigos que estudió con nosotros, llegamos a tempranas horas y nos dispusimos a esperar a Barbara y su familia.
Due to the pandemic situation, it would not be a ceremony as it normally is at their university, it would be a simple, but very significant act where each graduate would receive their title and medal with the presence of few people, therefore, although I could not be present in the ceremony, in the same way I decided to get closer to share as much time as possible and of course, take some photos to remember, I attended with my friend Carlos, another of my oldest friends who studied with us, we arrived early in the morning and we got ready to wait for Barbara and her family.
Finalmente Barbara llegó y pudimos compartir un momento, ella estaba muy emocionada pues finalmente se iba a graduar después de muchos años de esfuerzo y dificultades, de verdad me llenó de mucha alegría ver la felicidad en su rostro por este gran día, desde el momento en que llegó y nos vio a Carlos y a mí, hasta que al fin recibió su medalla y su titulo fueron momentos de mucha alegría donde no faltaron las bromas y viejos recuerdos sobre nuestros viejos tiempos estudiando juntos, una graduación atípica pues nunca nos imaginamos que este día llegaría en medio de una pandemia, por lo cual las fotos con los tapabocas tampoco faltaron para resaltar como una anécdota más de ese día.
Finally Barbara arrived and we were able to share a moment, she was very excited because she was finally going to graduate after many years of effort and difficulties, it really filled me with great joy to see the happiness on her face for this great day, from the moment she arrived and saw Carlos and me, until finally she received his medal and his title were moments of great joy where jokes and old memories about our old days studying together were not lacking, an atypical graduation because we never imagined that this day would arrive in the middle of a pandemic, so the photos with the masks were not lacking to stand out as one more anecdote of that day.
De verdad es un sentimiento de mucha alegría cuando se logra alcanzar una meta, y más si se ha luchado mucho por ella, de igual manera esta alegría es bastante grande cuando estas metas son alcanzadas por amigos tan queridos y cercanos, ver el rostro de alegría de Barbara fue un momento muy bonito, pues para ella significó ver parte del fruto de su esfuerzo en un pequeño acto que si bien no fue como ella lo había imaginado, poco importaba ante tanta alegría que sentía, todos deberíamos tener la dicha de poder compartir los grandes logros de nuestros amigos como yo lo pude hacer con la graduación de Barbara.
It is really a feeling of great joy when a goal is achieved, and even more if you have fought a lot for it, in the same way this joy is quite great when these goals are reached by such dear and close friends, see the joy on Barbaras’s face was a very beautiful moment, because for her it meant seeing part of the fruit of her effort in a small act that although it was not as she had imagined, it did not matter next to so much joy she felt, we should all have the joy of being able to share the great achievements of our friends like I was able to do with Barbara's graduation.
Los grandes amigos no son aquellos con los que compartimos todos los días, son aquello con los que se tiene una cercanía y un cariño especial sin importar cuanto tiempo transcurra, acompañen a sus amigos en sus malos momentos donde más necesitan apoyo, pero también háganse presentes en sus momentos de gran alegría y sus grandes triunfos, pues les aseguro que ustedes serán los primeros con los que querrán estar, tuve la dicha de acompañar a mi querida amiga en su graduación y de verdad que no podría estar más feliz por ella, ya llegará el momento donde nos podamos reunir con nuestro grupo de amigos a celebrar a lo grande, por ahora, brindo por Barbara y todos los éxitos que está por conseguir.
Great friends are not those we share every day with, they are those we have a closeness and a special affection no matter how much time passes, accompany your friends in their bad times where they need support the most, but also be present in their moments of great joy and your great triumphs, because I assure you that you will be the first ones they would want to be with, I had the happiness of accompanying my dear friend in her graduation and I really could not be happier for her, the time where we can meet with our group of friends to celebrate in a big way will come soon, for now, I toast Barbara and all the successes she is about to achieve.
