It's hard to be we at this time of season change. Sometimes very hot and sometimes very rainy. There is some disease in this season.
For some days my father wanted to eat shrimp. I saw beautiful prawns in the market and bought them. We are very happy to get ahead. When it rains after long days of heat, the mind will want to eat something different. We are not the exception. The responsibility of cooking fell on me. And I happily did the job.
Shrimp is a very nutritious fish. It is very popular in our country. People of different regions cook it in different ways. The recipe that I am going to share today is loved by people of all regions. It is a popular item at weddings or other celebrations.
Ingredients-
- Shrimp fish
- Coconut milk
- plain milk
- Sour yoghurt
- Onion batter
- Ginger paste
- Garlic paste
- Cumin batter
- salt
- Turmeric powder
- cloves
- Bay leaf.
- Chilli powder
- Chopped onion
- cardamom
- mustard oil.
step 1-
The first step is the hardest. Because the fish here is a matter of preparation.
I cleaned the fish well. I have removed the head part. There is a vein on the back, which I threw away and washed.
Step 2-
Here I add some turmaric powder.
Step 3-
Then add some salt .
Step 4-
Mix everything well and marinate for half an hour.
Step 5-
Here I have made coconut milk by grinding coconut and blending it with water
Step 6-
Condition of the fish after marinating.
Step 7-
Then add some oil to the pan.
Step 8-
When the oil becomes hot, add chopped onions.
Step 9-
Then add bay leaves.
Step 10-
Then I add some cardamom. 3-4 is like that.
step 11-
Then I add some cloves. 3-4 is like that.
Step 12-
After frying the onion and all the spices well, add the ginger batter, garlic batter and cumin batter. All will give like 2 tablespoons. Then fry for a while.
Step 13-
Then add salt and chilli powder to taste. And fry for some more time.
Step 14-
Then I will give sour curd. This sour cream was in our house. It is frozen because it was in the deep freeze. If you put it in a hot pan, it will melt without any problem. It should be shaken after some time of giving it.
Step 15-
It will look like this when the curd is melted.
Step 16-
Here again, I have given chilli powder and salt.
Step 17-
This will happen after cooking for a while. The colour of the Gravy is very beautiful.
Step 18-
I have blended about 2 cups of onion here.
Step 19-
Then, I have given them in the gravy.
Step 20-
Mix well properly.
Step 21-
Spread some mustard oil on top.
Step 22-
I will give the marinated fish in the gravy.
Step 23-
Cooked for a while and spread ghee.
Step 24-
After giving the fish, it should be cooked with coconut milk. It should be cooked in such a way that the fish is boiled well. When the water reduces, then it should be served. The flame of the stove should be kept medium
Step 25-
this is the final result. just look at the colour. It was super tasty.
Bengalis generally like to eat fish a lot. Every day it is a must to have fish for everyone. Most of our nutritional deficiencies are fulfilled through fish. Cooking any kind of fish in this way is a matter of interest for our Bengali girls.
One of the reasons why Bengalis love fish is that it is available at such a cheap price that it is available to poor to middle-class people. Shrimp is a very expensive fish though. So expensive because of taste and low availability.
This shrimp curry is served with white rice or polao. It is the best item for lunch or dinner.
