Hello everybody! In the context of pride month, today I want to tell you this short story.
Hola a todos! por el contexto del mes del orgullo hoy quiero contarles esta breve historia.
Over there in January 2016, going down the dashboard of Tumblr, I found a very long post from a girl who said that she wanted to study to be a kindergarten teacher but that no one supported or encouraged her. I felt identified with what she said and without knowing who she was I answered her a will trying to make her feel better. Well, since that day we have been talking, we never said goodbye.
Por allá en enero de 2016 bajando por el inicio de Tumblr encuentro un post larguísimo de una chica que contaba que quería estudiar para ser maestra jardinera pero que nadie la apoyaba ni alentaba. me sentí identificada con lo que dijo y sin saber quien era le respondí un testamento tratando de que se sintiera mejor. Bueno, desde ese día estamos conversando, nunca nos dijimos chau.
It was all so intense that in April we met personally, after going around a lot and in June we became girlfriends. Very fast.
Fue todo tan intenso que en abril nos conocimos personalmente, luego de dar muchas vueltas y en junio nos pusimos de novias. Rapídisimo.
We went out for a lot of walks around the city, we visited museums. We started doing a lot of activities together, such as trying to go to college to study arts. Spoiler: we quit.
Salíamos a pasear un montón por la ciudad, visitábamos museos. Empezamos a hacer muchas actividades juntas, como por ejemplo, intentar ir a la facultad a estudiar artes. Spoiler: abandonamos.
There was a time when she lost her job so we went out to a park to sell cakes. Once we sold fancy hair dyes. Another time we sold handmade notebooks. All the time we are selling something ahaha.
Hubo un tiempo en que ella se quedó sin trabajo así que salimos a un parque a vender tortas. Otro tiempo vendimos tinturas fantasía para el pelo. Otro tiempo vendimos cuadernos artesanales. Todo el tiempo estamos vendiendo algo ajaja.
With that money, plus other small extra income, we were able to go on vacation for the first time in Argentina.
Con ese dinero, más otros pequeños ingresos extras pudimos irnos de vacaciones por primera vez dentro de Argentina.
We adopted our first two cats. And time later to a third.
Adoptamos a nuestros dos primeros gatos. Y tiempo después a una tercera.
After saving a lot, we were able to go on vacation abroad for the first time together.
Luego de ahorrar mucho, pudimos irnos de vacaciones fuera del país por primera vez juntas.
With stable work, many projects in common, love and more effort, we were able to move together.
Con trabajo estable, muchos proyectos en común, amor y más esfuerzo, pudimos mudarnos juntas.
And go buying everything little by little. Luckily, with the help of our families.
E ir comprandonos todo de a poquito. Por suerte, con ayuda de nuestras familias.
on the 2nd of this month we have celebrated 5 years together. It really is a very beautiful relationship that we are both very proud of.
El 2 de este mes hemos cumplido 5 años juntas. Realmente es una relación muy hermosa de la que estamos muy orgullosas las dos.
We know that our reality is not the same as that of all LGBT + people, but our way of fighting against it is by being openly gay. So that other heterosexuals get used to seeing lesbians being normal people and not submissive or hidden people. We never return to the closet and we firmly believe that no one should hide to love.
Sabemos que nuestra realidad no es la misma que la de todas las personas del colectivo LGBT+, pero nuestra manera de luchar contra ello es siendo gays abiertamente. Para que los demás heterosexuales se acostumbren a ver lesbianas siendo personas normales y no personas sumisas o escondidas. Al closet no volvemos nunca más y creemos firmemente en que nadie debería ocultarse por amar.
