If something was attractive to me in the city of Lima, it was its immense view of the Pacific Ocean, my attraction to the sea is decisive, coming from a Caribbean country, so looking infinitely at the sea and letting myself be carried away by its movement is a hobby that I have since childhood.
I took these photos between Barrancos and Miraflores, this part of the city is mounted on a kind of plateau facing the ocean and has an extensive road, pleasant for walks at any time of the day.
In general, the coastal towns in my country are felt by the imminent heat and the smell and presence of saltpeter everywhere, and almost always at sea level, which is why it seemed a bit strange to associate Lima with a seaside town.
But being in this area I understood a little more that relationship with the sea, so present in its gastronomy.
That was my last afternoon in the city and I was lucky to be able to capture that sunset and say goodbye face to face with the sun, so revered by this region and so shy in the Lima sky.

Si algo me era atractivo en la ciudad de Lima, era su inmensa vista hacia el océano Pacífico, mi atracción por el mar es determinante, viniendo de un país caribeño, así que mirar infinitamente el mar y dejarme llevar por su movimiento es un pasatiempo que tengo desde la infancia.
Está fotos las hice entre Barrancos y Miraflores, está parte de la ciudad está montada en una especie de meseta frente al océano y tiene una extensa camineria, agradable para dar paseos a cualquier hora del día.
Por lo general los poblados costeños en mi de mi país se hacen sentir por el calor inminente y el olor y la presencia del salitre por todas partes, y casi siempre a nivel del mar, por lo cual me parecía un poco extraño asociar a Lima con una ciudad costera.
Pero estando en esta zona entiendi un poco más esa relación con el mar, tan presente en su gastronomía.
Esa fue mi última tarde en la ciudad y tuve la suerte de lograr capturar ese atardecer y despedirme frente a frente con el sol, tan venerado por está región y tan tímido en el cielo limeño.
