Who missed traveling? I bet everyone does. Before the pandemic, I have this goal to travel to 81 provinces in the Philippines, and Camiguin is one of the provinces. It’s a small island province and can be accessed via plane from Cebu. It was my first travel with my gorgeous five (G5) friends outside Cebu and it was memorable for me because who knows when will it happen again. Aside from them, my husband also joined us at that time because he’s never been to Camiguin also. The island is beautiful, it’s peaceful and you will really feel the province’s life. One of the many attractions in Camiguin is there Sunken Cemetery which was submerged underneath the ocean in 1871 due to a seismic disaster. Some tourists will dive into the ocean to check the sunken cemetery, but for us, it’s just enough to see the large crucifix standing atop a platform. We also visited the famous ruined Camiguin church just minutes away from the Sunken Cemetery, this is where we spent our afternoon chill because the place is really clean. The façade is beautiful and we took our time here taking photos.
Overall, we had the best vacation in Camiguin not just because of the experience but mainly because I traveled with my husband and with my friends who share the same passion as me and that is to travel.
