Hello Hive,

We are still experiencing the summer heat here in the Philippines. If you are a traveller planning to visit the Philippines or a tourist now wandering the country and currently in Cebu. I would recommend you visit the famous Mundo Island in Mactan Island.

If you are looking for a pristine beach just a few minutes away from the airport, you must visit the Mundo Island in Lapu-Lapu City. Mactan Island is famous for beautiful private and public beach resorts. It's obviously a home for foreign visitors knowing this is where high end resorts are situated and not to mention it's near to almost everything like tourist destinations in Cebu Island.

Mundo Island definitely gives you Maldives-like water which locals are still fascinated by its natural beauty. It is only a small area with rock formations that lies in the vast beach of Buyong, Mactan.

If you are coming from the airport or anywhere in Cebu, you just need to ride a bus or a cab going to Soong, Mactan Lapu-Lapu City then alight at Blue Waters Maribago resort. From there, you can ride a tricycle or taxi going to Buyong. There are actually a few small private cottages or resorts in Buyong that will be your way in to Mundo Island. If you are taking public transportation, you should only be spending less than two dollars for the fare. You can alight off at Macario beach and pay 30.00 or 50.00 pesos (1.00 US) as entrance fee.

Please know that Mundo Island isn't a resort or a private island. It's just basically rock formations or an islet in the middle of the ocean which you need to pass through one of the beach resorts nearby to get to Mundo Island. If it's high tide, you will need to rent a boat to get there.

You can bring food or drinks but be sure to be a responsible traveler by cleaning your mess when you go back to the shore.

That’s basically it, I hope you liked this episode and I hope to interact with you in the comment section below. Everyone’s glad to hear the stories of yours! Just always remember that learning is a lifetime process. You can learn from your experiences, trips, and other people. The world is so vast. Explore and Learn! Traveling isn’t as expensive as you think! There’s a so-called traveling in a frugal way with a purpose!

DEUCES!

Regards,
