I've got to be honest here, this is the most unlikely thing that I expected to discover while visiting South Carolina's capital city of Colombia. Once we were settled in at our Airbnb, I started looking up things for us to do for the rest of the brief one-day visit there. I was looking for cool murals nearby and stumbled upon an article that had photos of this giant stone that had been painted by a local artist to depict the Egyptian God of the Sun "Ra". I knew we had to visit, especially once I figured out that it was only 10 minutes from our spot. Shortly after, we left to go find it in the real world.

Both @flowerbaby and I have a bit of an obsession with Egyptian stuff. We watched all of Moon Knight together, The Mummy, and Gods of Egypt. She has even looked up how much it would cost to visit and explore Egypt in real life. Then there is the video game Assassin's Creed Origin, which has given me a pretty close look at what life in Egypt may have been like. Then of course various documentaries and talks that I have watched over the years talking about ancient Egyptian civilization. All of it is just so cool and we both love the golden aesthetics of their culture.

When we got to the mural, it was in the most random place. There was nobody around but us, so we had plenty of time to take some amazing photos together. I can now say that I have at least one photo in front of something Egyptian now. That is a success in my book.
