Future Continuous
In English grammar, the Future Continuous is used to talk about activities that will be in progress at a certain time in the future.
Or the future continuous is used to talk about events that have a very high probability of occurring because an agreement has already been made.
How to construct the Future Continuous
To form the Future Continuous we will use will be by adding -ing to the verb.
Below are some examples of affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences:
My friends will be waiting for me.
My friends will not bewaiting for me.
Will my friends be waiting for me?
Note: will not be can be abbreviated to won’t be
Example
If we want to tell someone that tomorrow a group of our collaborators will celebrate our friend Andrea’s birthday, we fall into the case where we are talking about an activity that is already underway at a certain time in the future.
So the correct sentence would be the following (the Future Continuous verb form is in bold):
This time tomorrow they will be celebrating Andrea’s birthday.
Example 2
Another example is the following. We want to tell one of our collaborators that we intend to make a presentation of the new company rules very soon.
In this case we are talking about an event that has a high probability of happening because it has already been agreed with others that this thing will be done.
The sentence we will use is the following (the Future Continuous verb form is in bold)
I will be giving a presentation soon.
Clarification on the Present Simple
Be careful when we talk about train times. A train will leave the station at a certain time, which will not be now, but in a few minutes or a few hours. In this case, we will use the Present Simple.
We use the Present Simple when we talk about timetables, programs, etc. (For example, when we are talking about public transport, movie times, etc.)
Example
If we want to tell someone when our train will leave, we must not use the Future Continuous form, but the Present Simple.
The correct sentence to express the departure time of our train is the following (the Present Simple verb form is in bold):
My train leaves at 12.30, so I need to be at the station by 12.15.
Clarification on the Present Continuous
We can use the Present Continuous form, and not the Future Continuous form) to refer to events scheduled for the future.
Example
If we have to tell our partner that tomorrow at 5 we will have a tennis match, we will use the Present Continuous.
The correct sentence will be the following:
We are playinging tennis tomorrow at five.
Conclusions
The Future Continuous verb form is used for activities that will be ongoing at a certain time in the future or to talk about events that have a very high probability of occurring because the conditions for this fact to happen already exist.

Nella grammatica inglese il Future Continuous viene usato per parlare di attività che saranno in corso in un certo momento futuro.
Oppure il future continuous si usa per parlare di eventi che hanno una probabilità molto alta di verificarsi perché è già stato preso un accordo.
Come si costruisce il Future Continuous
Per formare il Future Continuous useremo will be aggiungendo -ing al verbo.
QUi di seguito degli esempio di frasi affermative, negative ed interrogative:
My friends will be waiting for me.
My friends will not bewaiting for me.
Will my friends be waiting for me?
Nota: will not be si può abbreviare con won’t be
Esempio
Se vogliamo riferire a qualcuno che domani un gruppo di nostri collaboratori celebreranno il compleanno del nostro amico Andrea, rientriamo proprio nel caso in cui parliamo di un'attività che è già in corso in un certo momento futuro.
Quindi la frase corretta sarà la seguente (in grassetto la forma verbale del Future Continuous):
This time tomorrow they will be celebrating Andrea’s birthday.
Esempio 2
Un altro esempio è il seguente. Vogliamo riferire ad un nostro collaboratore di lavoro che abbiamo intenzione di fare la presentazione delle nuove regole aziendali molto presto.
In questo caso parliamo di un evento che ha una alta probabilità che avvenga perché è già accordato con altri che questa cosa si farà.
La frase che useremo è la seguente (in grassetto la forma verbale del Future Continuous)
I will be giving a presentation soon.
Chiarimento sul Present Simple
Attenzione quando parliamo di orari dei treni. Un treno lascerà la stazione in un determinato momento che avverrà non ora, ma tra qualche minuto o tra qualche ora. In questo caso useremo il Present Simple.
Usiamo il Present Simple quando parliamo di orari, programmi ecc. Ad esempio quando stiamo parlando di trasporti pubblici, orari del cinema ecc.)
Esempio
Se vogliamo riferire a qualcuno quando partirà il nostro treno, non dobbiamo usare la forma del Future Continuous, ma del Present Simple.
La frase corretta per esprimere l'orario di partenza del nostro treno è la seguente (in grassetto la forma verbale del Present Simple):
My train leaves at 12.30, so I need to be at the station by 12.15.
Chiarimento sul Present Continuous
Possiamo usare la forma del Present Continuous, e non quella del Future Continuous) per riferirci ad eventi programmati per il futuro.
Esempio
Se dobbiamo riferire al nostro partner che domani alle 5 avremo una partita di tennis, useremo proprio il Present Continuous.
La frase corretta sarà la seguente:
We are playing tennis tomorrow at five.
Conclusioni
La forma verbale del Future Continuous viene usata per attività che saranno in corso in un certo momento nel futuro oppure per parlare di eventi che hanno una probabilità molto alta di verificarsi perché ci sono già le condizioni per cui questo fatto avverrà.
