The Pixels game had a major update on October 22, 2024, which was also the second update of Chapter 2.5. There have been major updates to the Infinifunnel/Taskboard, Reputation System, Coins & Energy, Winery, Land Ownership, Vip Legacy and more.
It was really huge, I've been playing Pixels for about 3 months, after the update I was like a new player to the game, but it only took me 2 days to adapt. You can check out the Pixels update page to see all updates.
I saw that many players were not happy with the update, especially on Discord there were a lot of complaints, to be honest I didn't like it at first either, but after trying it I understood better that the update was great. I think it was a great update, especially for those who are new to the game, it provides great convenience. According to my experience, the update helps us develop our account faster, especially for those who are new to the game.
Developing a Web3 game is really hard, especially finding what works and what doesn't is really hard and it's a journey of constant experimentation. So it doesn’t surprise me that there are updates like this in a Web 3 game, but it’s just as important to keep players happy, even if it’s not always possible. Game developers work hard to make the game better and unlock the next big growth opportunity, but it’s important to remember that they also need to keep players, otherwise if they don’t have enough players, even if the game is great, it’s useless. From my 3 months experience, I can say that Pixels team is doing a good job to make the game more awesome.
Pixels is a free-to-play and fun play2earn farm game. It is possible to earn money even without being a VIP member, but being a VIP member has great advantages. You can see the benefits of being VIP in the picture above. The cost of becoming a VIP member is approximately $10 per month. You can buy it with PIXEL or with Coins from the in-game Marketplace, and you can even sell it. I think players who need Coins are selling the VIP memberships they bought with PIXEL on the Marketplace. Coin is a currency used only in the game.
I bought a VIP membership with my in-game income, but if I had known that the advantages were so many, I would have bought a VIP membership the first day I started the game. Pixel tasks are really hard to find, sometimes you may need to delive dozens of tasks to find them, but it is a little easier for VIP members to find Pixel tasks. I'm not sure but from my experience VIP members can earn more PIXELs, at least that's how it's been for me so far.
In the last 2 days I could only find 4 Pixel tasks and I delivered all of them and earned a total of 38.38 PIXEL. Currently PIXEL is trading around $0.1537 which means I earned $5.89 in 2 days. It's not much, but if I had more time I could have earned more, so $5.89 isn't bad for me. By the way, my skills are not very high and as the level of our skills increases, our earnings increase, so I focus on increasing my skills most of the time. So far everything is going well for me and I enjoy playing Pixels, to be honest I would continue playing even if I wasn't making money but on the other hand it is also very fun to earn money while having fun.
