Olivia of the Brook is an Epic Life Monster card that has the Opportunity Ability from level 1, the Mimic Ability from level 2, and the Reflection Shield Ability at level 6. It is a very amazing card that only costs 6 mana, especially its Mimic Ability looks very worrying for the opponents, and I would like to say that it can be very effective in battles when used with a good strategy. And in this post I will talk about my experiences with it so far.

  • Opportunity Ability : Units with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health.
  • Mimic Ability : At the beginning of round 2 and each following round, gain a random ability from the enemy team. 25% chance to gain a random ability from an attacker when hit. Dispel removes one mimicked ability in the reverse order they were gained. Debilitations, Targeting abilities, Ambush, Weapons Training, Flank, Reach, Charge, and Taunt cannot be mimicked.
  • Reflection Shield Ability : This Unit doesn't take damage from Blast, Magic Reflect, Thorns, or Return Fire.

Rebellion Reward cards were added to our rewards shop on August 15, 2024 and we can now obtain them from our rewards shop with our Glint. Additionally, those who wish can unbind the rewards cards they own so they can transfer, sell or rent them, and those who wish can buy or rent them on the market. So, we can also buy or rent the Olivia of the Brook card from the market. By the way, since I'm going to be playing Splinterlands forever, I haven't unbind any of my reward cards and I don't plan on doing so, but I can buy copies of them on the market to level up my cards. The Rebellion cards are really powerful and can be very effective in battles, and I can't wait to add all the Rebellion cards to my deck and level them all up to max.

I currently have the level 3 Gold foil Olivia of the Brook card and I can't wait to level it up to level 6. Olivia of the Brook is a powerful Monster with powerful abilities and I can say that it is one of my favorite Monsters because it can be very effective in battles.

Mimic Ability

Monsters with the Mimic Ability gain a random ability from the enemy team at the beginning of round 2 and each following round. 25% chance to gain a random ability from an attacker when hit. Dispel removes one mimicked ability in the reverse order they were gained. Meanwhile, Debilitations, Targeting abilities, Ambush, Weapons Training, Flank, Reach, Charge, and Taunt cannot be mimicked.

Mimic Ability is an amazing ability and I can say that it has become one of my favorite abilities. Best of all, abilities gained by Monsters with the Mimic Ability become instantly available for use. However, upon Resurrect or Rebirth, Monsters with Mimic Ability will lose all previously Mimicked abilities. Monsters with Mimic Ability can be very effective in battles, but as long as they are alive, I protect and hide them with my strategy, and I make sure they survive until the end of the battle, so they can be much more effective.

Below I will talk about a battle that I think will be a good example of the Olivia of the Brook Card and the Mimic Ability, let's examine the battle.

Battle Ruleset

  • Deflection Field: All units have the Reflection Shield ability.
  • Close Range: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.
  • Need for Speed: You can only summon units with 3 or more speed.

According to the ruleset of the battle, all Monsters will have the Reflection Shield ability, Ranged attacks can be made from the first position, and only units with 3 or more speed can be used.

I had no doubt that Olivia of the Brook would be quite effective in this battle, so I added it to my team without hesitation. I put it in the third position but right next to it in the fourth position, I put Iziar who has Taunt Ability, Void Ability and Martyr Ability, so enemies will target Iziar and try to destroy it first if they can. If enemies manage to destroy Iziar, the Martyr Ability will trigger and Olivia of the Brook will get +1 to all stats, making it even more effective. I also included Triage Ability and Heal Ability in my lineup.

Battle Comments

I already knew that the opposing player's team was more powerful because when I looked at the opposing player's recent 5 battles, I saw that they had very powerful cards. Also, I'm not surprised that the opposing team has Olivia of the Brook because it can be very effective in these types of battles. The most interesting thing is that our strategy for using Olivia of the Brook, Iziar and Djinn Renova cards was almost similar. To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was pretty good too.

Round 1

In the first round, Monsters from both teams hit their targets, but the opposing player's choice of Reach Ability will definitely make it very difficult for the opposing team to destroy Iziar. However, Iziar in my team was poisoned, but it still won't be easy to destroy it.

Round 2

At the beginning of the second round, my team's Olivia of the Brook gained the Strengthen Ability, while the opposing team's Olivia of the Brook gained the Bloodlust Ability. Olivia of the Brook from the opposing team was much luckier and will become much more dangerous to my team if it manages to destroy the target, which is exactly why I added Iziar to my team. If I didn't add Taunt Ability to my lineup my team would have had a really hard time, which is why I love Taunt Ability. Drybone Barbarian's brutal attacks resulted in the destruction of the Imperial Knight, which is exactly why I put Drybone Barbarian in the first position.

Round 3

At the beginning of the third round, my team's Olivia of the Brook gained the Triage Ability, while the opposing team's Olivia of the Brook gained the Enrage Ability. It has now become much more difficult to destroy Iziar in my team. The Monsters who took the first position on the opposing team were having a hard time against the relentless attacks of the Drybone Barbarian, and in the third round, Corsair Bosun was also destroyed.

Round 4

At the beginning of the fourth round, my team's Olivia of the Brook gained the Poison Ability, while the opposing team's Olivia of the Brook gained the Triage Ability.

Round 5

At the beginning of the fifth round, my team's Olivia of the Brook gained the Enrage Ability, while the opposing team's Olivia of the Brook gained the Poison Ability. Both were gaining abilities that could be quite effective, but my strategy was working better, so the opposing team's hopes of winning were diminishing at the end of each round.

Round 6

At the beginning of the sixth round, Olivia of the Brook on both teams gained the Martyr Ability. However, all the Monsters on my team were still alive while the opposing team only had 2 Monsters left.

And Olivia of the Brook and Uraeus in the opposing team were also destroyed and my team was able to win the battle. My strategy worked very well and my team defeat a more powerful team quite easily. Especially Drybone Barbarian turned the opposing player's entire strategy upside down.

At the end of the battle, Olivia of the Brook's abilities are quite remarkable and Olivia of the Brook gained six abilities in six rounds, which is exactly why I love Olivia of the Brook so much.
