New SPS Staking Requirement: Useful Tools, My Battle Rewards and Results + My Road to Diamond I of Modern Format
On 6 July 2023, an important change to the Ranked Battles reward mechanisms was introduced: Replacing Collection Power requirements with SPS staking.
In the Battle section of Splinterlands the old box containing the Collection Power (CP) score has been replaced by a new box which now contains two information items:
- Boost = calculation of the SPS staking multiplier.
- Rate = Earn Rate = the probable amount of Reward Points obtainable from the next battle victory.
The new SPS staking requirement has added an important new use case for SPS tokens that has also resulted in an increase in the market value of SPS tokens.

The increase in value of SPS tokens started on 4 July 2023 after Splinterlands published a post announcing the date of the introduction of the new requirement.

In fact on 4 July, 1 token SPS had a value of $0.01660383 while today 10 July 2023 1 SPS has a market value of $0.01959202.
In percentage terms, the SPS token increased its market value by +17.99% in a time interval of 6 days.

In today's post I share and show three useful tools that provide useful information on the new SPS staked requirement, and two of these tools also allow to perform the same operations on SPS proxies that can be performed from the Splinterlands site.
The first useful tool I want to show in my post is the RANKED REWARDS CALCULATOR implemented by @tehox and accessible from the following link: https://www.splintercards.com/tool-ranked-rewards.html
If you want to calculate your Ranked Rewards Multiplier simply enter the following data:
- Your staked SPS
- Your actual Rating
- Your guild bonus (optional)
In the screenshot below you can see my Ranked reward multiplier and my Earn rate based on the quantity of SPS tokens in my possession (62320 SPS staked) and based on my rating (2717).
The most useful part of this tool in my opinion is the ability to see how the Multiplier and Earn Rate changes as you move up or down the leagues because it allows you to make choices and evaluations on game goals and possible strategies that you can adopt during a season.
The second useful tool I want to show in my post is the Delegation Tool implemented by the Monstermarket website: https://monstermarket.io/delegations
In the screenshot below you can see the main screen of the Delegation section where I found the information about the calculation of the APR for each SPS Bid very useful.
From this section you can:
Create an SPS token request (SPS BID)
Delegate SPS tokens (FILL BID)
By clicking on FILL BID you can view other useful information:
- Total Revenue
- Market Fee + Burn Fee.
- Net Revenue
Monstermarket also allows you to receive cashback on the Market Fee and this possibility makes using Monstermarket the most convenient choice for those who want to delegate SPS tokens.

From the Token Rentals section you can
- Create an SPS token request (NEW BID)
- Delegate SPS tokens (FILL)
In the screenshot below you can see the All Open Bids screen with the APR of the SPS BIDS.
My rewards and battle results with the new SPS Staked requirement
The change from Collection Power to the staked SPS requirement has been positive for me because it has increased my SPS earnings per battle won compared to before when there was the Collection Power requirement.
I will make a more detailed comparison and more precise calculations at the end of the season but for now I have noticed an increase in my SPS token gains especially considering that this season I made the switch from Wild Format to Modern Format and in Modern Format the SPS token gain per battle won was always lower than in Wild Format.
On 6 July 2023 after the introduction of the SPS staked requirement I was in the Gold II league with:
- a rating = 2397
- a Boost = x11.22
- a Rate = 15454 Pts.
In the first battle won I received a reward of:
- rating: +24 points
- RP: +15454
- SPS: +0.524
Today 10 July 2023, 4 days after the introduction of the new SPS staked requirement I am in the Gold I league with:
- rating = 2717
- Boost = x10.01
- Rate = 20070 Pts
In the last battle won I received a reward of:
- Rating: +42 points
- RP: +21576
- SPS: +1,248
The reward from my last battle I played today could have been more than +6% if I had used all top level Gold league cards in battle.
The improvement in my earnings became quite evident after I compared the earnings of my last battle I played today with two battles I played some time ago (January 2023) and whose screenshots I took in order to write a post comparing the rewards obtainable in Wild Format and Modern Format.
It was January 2023 when with a rating of 2718 in the Wild Format I had obtained after a won battle a reward of:
- RP: +14417
- SPS: +0.396
At the same time I also played in the ranked battles of the Modern Format and with a rating of 2743 points I had obtained after a won battle a reward of:
- RP: +19344
- SPS: +0.343
I like to think that this increase in rewards is due at least in part to the decrease in rewards earned by bot-farms, which with the new requirement cannot affect the distribution of the SPS reward pool as much as in the past.
If this hypothesis of mine were true, which is only an assumption that I have not verified, this change in requirements would already be a very good change for the future of the Splinterlands ecosystem which, however, in my opinion, would have much better chances and future prospects only with a total elimination of bots.
I'm also glad that I chose to move from the ranked battles of the Wild Format to the ranked battles of the Modern Format because I improved my game results a lot compared to the previous season.
In fact in the previous season I played in the Wild Format and finished the season in Gold II with the following results:
- rating: 2388
- rank: 658
- Battles: 271
- win rate: 46%
In the current season I started in the Bronze III league of the Modern Format and when there are 4 days and 17 hours left until the end of the Splinterlands season I am in the Gold I league with the following temporary results:
- rating: 2717
- rank: 390
- Battles: 238
- win rate: 60%
I am achieving much better results in Modern Format than in Wild Format where I have been playing most of the time except for some testing.
I want to continue to improve these results and I want to try to reach my current game goal as soon as possible, which is to finish in at least the Diamond I league of the Modern Format every season.
I am hardly going to reach my gaming goal this season but by continuing to upgrade my cards and continuing to purchase useful cards in battle I hope to reach this goal soon.
In conclusion I will share my progress towards my purchase goals that I set a while ago and shared in my previous posts.
After adding Vruz of level 8 to my card collection I have also recently added Oshur Costantia of level 2.
Oshur Costantia of level 2 is a very useful card in battle but it is only an intermediate purchase goal of mine because my end goal is to have Oshur Costantia of level 3 that acquires the Tank Heal ability in addition to the Resurrect and Reflection Shield abilities of level 2.
In order to reach my upgrade goal I need to buy 3 more BCX of Oshur Costantia and to try to reach my final upgrade goal sooner I have continued to raise my purchase offers which are currently the highest on the market as you can see from the screenshot below.
I am also very close to reaching my upgrade goal for Elven Mystic (I am only 2 BCX away) while to bring Bringhton Bloom from level 5 to level 6 I need to buy 19 BCX.
I continue to set growth goals related to SPS tokens and continue to increase the battle strength of my card collection and look forward with great excitement to the introduction of the anti-bots measures in Modern Format which I believe will be a great and important step forward for the entire Splinterlands ecosystem...

Nuovo Requisito SPS staking: Tools Utili, I Miei Risultati di Gioco + Il mio obiettivo di gioco: la lega Diamond I del Modern Format
Il 6 luglio 2023 è stata introdotta una modifica importante ai meccanismi di ricompensa delle Ranked Battles: Replacing Collection Power requirements with SPS staking.
Nella sezione Battle di Splinterlands il vecchio riquadro che conteneva il punteggio del Collection Power (CP) è stato sostituito da un nuovo riquadro che adesso contiene due informazioni:
- Boost = calcolo dell'SPS staking multiplier
- Rate = Earn Rate = il probabile quantitativo di Reward Points ottenibile dalla prossima vittoria in battaglia
Il nuovo requisito SPS staking ha aggiunto un nuovo importante caso d'uso ai token SPS che ha prodotto anche un aumento del valore di mercato dei token SPS.

L'aumento di valore dei token SPS è iniziato il 4 luglio 2023 dopo che Splinterlands ha pubblicato un post in cui ha annunciato la data dell'introduzione del nuovo requisito.

Infatti il 4 luglio, 1 token SPS aveva un valore di 0.01660383$ mentre oggi 10 luglio 2023 1 SPS ha un valore di mercato di 0.01959202$.
In termini percentuali il token SPS ha aumentato il suo valore di mercato del +17.99% in un intervallo di tempo di 6 giorni.
Nel post che ho pubblicato 4 giorni fa ho condiviso alcune mie considerazioni sul nuovo requisito SPS staked e ho mostrato come delegare i token SPS e come ricevere una delega in token SPS utilizzando i token DEC o i Credits dal sito di Splinterlands.

La parte più utile di questo tool è secondo me la possibilità di vedere come cambia il Multiplier e l'Earn Rate avanzando nelle leghe o scendendo nelle leghe perchè permette di fare scelte e valutazioni sugli obiettivi di gioco e sulle possibili strategie adottabili durante una stagione.
Il secondo utile tool che voglio mostrare nel mio post è il Delegation Tool implementato dal sito Monstermarket: https://monstermarket.io/delegations
Nello screenshot seguente puoi vedere la schermata principale della sezione Delegation in cui ho trovato molto utile l'informazione relativa al calcolo dell'APR per ogni SPS Bid.

Cliccando su FILL BID è possibile visualizzare altre utili informazioni:

Le mie ricompense e i miei risultati di battaglia con il nuovo requisito SPS Staked
Il cambio dal Collection Power al requisito SPS staked è stato per me positivo perchè è aumentato il mio guadago in SPS per battaglia vinta rispetto a prima, quando c'era il requisito del Collection Power.
Farò un confronto più dettagliato e dei calcoli più precisi a fine stagione ma per il momento ho notato un incremento dei miei guadagni in token SPS soprattutto considerando che in questa stagione ho fatto il cambio dal Wild Format al Modern Format e nel Moder Format il guadagno in token SPS per battaglia vinta è stato sempre inferiore rispetto al Wild Format.
Il 6 luglio 2023 dopo l'introduzione del requisito SPS staked ero in lega Gold II con:
- un rating = 2397
- un Boost = x11.22
- un Rate = 15454 Pts
Nella prima battaglia vinta ho ricevuto una ricompensa di:
- rating: +24 punti
- RP: +15454
- SPS: +0.524
Oggi 10 luglio 2023, 4 giorni dopo l'introduzione del nuovo requisito SPS staked sono nella lega Gold I con:
- rating = 2717

Nell'ultima battaglia vinta ho ricevuto una ricompensa di:
- Rating: +42 punti
- RP: +21576

Il guadagno della mia ultima battaglia che ho giocato oggi sarebbe potuto essere maggiore del +6% se avessi usato in battaglia tutte carte di livello massimo per la lega Gold.
Il miglioramento dei mie guadagni è risultato evidente dopo che ho confrontato i guadagni della mia ultima battaglia giocata oggi con due battaglie che ho giocato tempo fa (gennaio 2023) e di cui ho fatto gli screenshots per poter scrivere un post in cui ho fatto un test per confrontare le ricompense ottenibili nel Wild Format e nel Modern Format.
Era gennaio 2023 quando con un rating di 2718 nel Wild Format avevo ottenuto dopo una battaglia vinta una ricompensa di:
- RP: +14417
- SPS: +0.396
Nello stesso periodo ho giocato anche nelle ranked battles del Modern Format e con un rating di 2743 punti avevo ottenuto dopo una battaglia vinta una ricompensa di:
- RP: +19344
- SPS: +0.343
Da questo confronto è evidente come il cambio tra Collection Power e SPS staked è stato vantaggioso per me in termini di ricompense in token SPS.
Mi piace pensare che questo incremento di ricompense sia dovuto almeno in parte alla diminuzione delle ricompense ottenute dalle bot-farms che con il nuovo requisito non possono incidere come in passato nella distribuzione della SPS reward pool.
Se fosse vera questa mia ipotesi, che è solo una mia supposizione che non ho verificato, questo cambiamento nei requisiti sarebbe già un ottimo cambiamento in ottica futura per l'ecosistema di Splinterlands che però, secondo me, avrebbe molte più chances e prospettive future migliori solo con una totale eliminazione dei bots.
Sono anche contento di aver scelto di spostarmi dalle ranked battles del Wild Format alle ranked battles del Modern Format perchè ho migliorato di molto i miei risultati di gioco rispetto alla stagione precedente.
Infatti nellla stagione precedente ho giocato nel Wild Format e ho concluso la stagione in Gold II con i seguenti risultati:
- rating: 2388
- rank: 658
- Battles: 271
- win rate: 46%
Nella stagione in corso sono partito dalla lega Bronze III del Modern Format e quando mancano 4 giorni e 17 ore alla fine della stagione di Splinterlands sono nella lega Gold I con i seguenti risultati temporanei:
- rating: 2717
- rank: 390
- Battles: 238
- win rate: 60%
Sto ottenendo dei risultati decisamente migliori nel Modern Format rispetto al Wild Format dove ho giocato quasi sempre se non per fare alcuni test.
Voglio continuare a migliorare questi risultati e voglio cercare di raggiungere nel più breve tempo possibile il mio obiettivo di gioco attuale che è di terminare in ogni stagione almeno nella lega Diamond I del Modern Format.
Difficilmente riuscirò a raggiungere il mio obiettivo di gioco nella stagione in corso ma continuando a potenziare le mie carte e continuando ad acquistare carte utili in battaglia spero di raggiungere presto questo mio obiettivo.
In conclusione condivido i miei progressi verso gli obiettivi di acquisto che mi sono posto tempo fa e che ho condiviso nei miei precedenti post.
Dopo aver aggiunto Vruz di livello 8 alla mia collezione di carte ho aggiunto di recente anche Oshur Costantia di livello 2.
Oshur Costantia di livello 2 è una carta molto utile in battaglia ma è solo un mio obiettivo di acquisto intermedio perchè il mio obiettivo finale è di avere Oshur Costantia di livello 3 che acquisisce l'abilità Tank Heal oltre alle abilità Resurrect e Reflection Shield del livello 2.
Per raggiungere il mio obiettivo ho bisogno di acquistare altri 3 BCX di Oshur Costantia e per cercare di raggiungere prima il mio obiettivo di upgrade finale ho continuato ad alzare le mie offerte di acquisto che sono al momento le più alte sul mercato come puoi vedere dallo screenshot seguente.
Sono anche molto vicino a raggiungere il mio obiettivo di upgrade per Elven Mystic (mi mancano solo 2 BCX) mentre per portare Bringhton Bloom dal livello 5 al livello 6 ho bisogno di acquistare 19 BCX.
Io continuo a pormi obiettivi di crescita relativi ai token SPS e continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte e aspetto con molta eccitazione l'introduzione delle misure anti-bots nel Modern Format che secondo me sarà un grande e un importante passo in avanti per tutto l'ecosistema di Splinterlands...
