New Ideas Take Time...

This year for National Podcast Post Month I created a merch store. This was after years of requests from the community. I worked with a designer, setup a drop ship online store, ordered sample products, and then announced it to the communities on Facebook, X/Twitter, and here on Hive.

I was expecting at the very least a whole host of folks to respond or at least acknowledge. But it was pretty much crickets. Well, not total crickets. About a handful of people engaged. Only two people commented on Facebook. I thought that would change when I got my NaPodPoMo merch in and shared it with everyone online And again, pretty much crickets.

So what does that tell me?

It takes time for folks to become aware of new ideas. And even more time for them to act on those new ideas. So, as we get closer to November and the 17th annual podcasting challenge I hope to see folks with their own #NaPodPoMo merch in photos across the various communities.

I can tell you the coffee mugs are my absolutely favorite items so far. The t-shirts are cool and all, but the coffee mugs are the cats meow.
