Day 2. Axie Appreciation: Minos the Mecha (Training Acct)

Untitled20.jpg

Buzzup people! Things were getting a little bit hefty lately on my side especially with my incoming freshman year. I can't feel yet the college here I come though. I hope everyone on your side has no heavy loads like mine and is doing well with their BEE-sness.

Here's a continuation of my mini series of axie appreciation posts that I started yesterday. If you haven't seen it yet, just click here. If you already did, I hope you enjoyed it and learn something even a little from it.

Now, I present you the next bad boy that I'm also thankful for.

Minos
The Mecha

*This cutie axie here is Minos, a mecha axie that can snap the existence of a tough carbonations of plant and other tank axies in the front line. He is mostly reliant with his combinations and can be pretty furious in just a single round. I always depend on him whenever I have to deal with AAP teams. He's the one making an opening by dealing with the tough plant first so Remi the Reptile can handle the Aquas smoothly. Some of the time, it's basically an eyesore for any Plant, Reptile, or Dusk user. Overall, this bad boy here acts basically like a Beast and I have no problemo with it. *

CARDS

The Single Combat card is what I can say the real deal with his attacks. It enables the user to guarantee a critical strike that is almost 200% damage to the enemy (around 150) only when comboed with 2 other cards. The best card to pair this one is the Ivory Stab card. Most of the time, this is the one that blows the largest damage towards my opponent. But make sure to be wary on the times you're using this especially if you're up against a termi that has sticky goo. Safe tip is that you always put this first in turn (given you're not in a pre-stunned) and then an Ivory, and then another high damage card. That's a simple error that I made when I'm still starting and was faced with a termi. It can stun your axie while attacking whenever you destroy its shield. It's also quite risky to axie opponents that can reflect a percentage of damage like the bulkwark.

The Ivory Stab is gain-energy type of card that can give you 1 energy per critical strike. It is paired with the Single Combat because it has a guaranteed critical strike. It's like spending two or less energies for 3 cards that all have a fair damage. Sometimes, I noticed that this one also made most of my random crit strike in matches. Overall, this one is pretty good especially if the faith of random crits and timing of cards stays on your side.

The Nut Crack is a handy card for starter rounds becuase it deals a good amount of damage towards front line axies (mostly plants). It's combo only requires another Nut Crack card for it to deal a staggering 120% damage or even 135% whenever it's a Plant, Reptile, or Dusk axie it's against with. Without a combo, it's still a good stand alone card.

Lastly, the Nut Throw, a card that is almost like the Nut Crack except that it's range attack and is pretty safe with opponents that only has a Bulkwark (a card that can reflect a 40% of melee attack). It says that it only raises it's damage when it's paired with a nut crack card but most of the time, I notice that it still raises its damage when paired with another Nut Throw card. Overall, the Nut-Cracker-Throw tandem is what I really want to see whenever I'm short with energies. It's like a killer pair.

Art Side

Here's a glimpse on the of making the paper-cut style art that I'm using in this series. It's a pretty easy yet so eye boggling process mostly because of the multiple layering and naming of the layers (that I don't really do Hahaha).

I'm not sure if there's other technique that I can use to make it easier organizing the layers but I think, I can still handle and bear my current state. As you can see, I always put the main paper-cut in front of the shadow, of course, still depending on the angle.
