TOPIC: RECEIVING GOD’S ATTENTION BY ATTENDING TO OTHERS

SCRIPTURE: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. GALATIANS 6:7.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The needs you meet in the lives of others will determine the needs God will meet in your own life.

One Scriptural mind-set that positions a person to always walk in love is realizing that the needs you meet in the lives of others will determine the needs God will meet in your life.
Life is a seed. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap. It is what you sow in the lives of others that you will reap in your own life.
To put this in another way, when you look away from your needs to meeting the needs of others, God will look towards you to attend to your needs. God turned the captivity of Job as he prayed for his friends (Job 42.10).
When you look away from your needs to meeting the needs of others, God will look in your direction.
Smith Wigglesworth once said that when God sees one person who believes, he will bypass a thousand people to anoint that one. This implies that when you decide to live a life that is selfless, God will bypass millions to lay his hands on your head.
The needs you meet in the lives of others will determine the needs God will meet in your life.
In our world today, there are many people who murmur and complain why God is not meeting their needs even though they cry to God. Some of these people may have embarked on several days of prayer and fasting calling on God to meet their needs and turn their lives around. This is not a bad thing to do. But one reason why some people’s needs remain unmet is that they have not reached out to help other people.
Job was praying to God and questioning Him to turn his captivity around, but God seemed unmoved. But the moment Job turned to meeting the needs of other people by praying for them, God automatically turned his captivity around.
Beloved, God is waiting for you to meet the needs of other people so He can turn your captivity around. You have prayed to God to change your story, and God has heard you, but the action of faith that will turn your prayer to answers is when you turn away from yourself to meeting the needs of other people. Make up your mind to meet other people’s needs today.

Remember this: The needs you meet in the lives of others will determine the needs God will meet in your life.

ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Refuse to turn your ears and eyes from the needs of people.
  2. Embrace the meeting of other people’s needs as a trigger for God to meet your own needs.
  3. Trust God to meet your needs as you meet the needs of others.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the self-centred attitude of turning deaf ears to the needs, cries and sufferings of others. Help and empower me to meet the needs of people, Lord, in Jesus’ Name

Declaration; As you begin to pay attention to the needs of others, the lord cause your own needs to be met urgently
Good night all.
