Don't compromise your true worship

Good day everyone in this great platform. By His grace we are alive today. I want to briefly share with us from Second kings chapter ten verse Thirty one
(2 KINGS 10:31)
The bible says, "Yet Jehu was not careful to keep the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit."

Jehu initially carried out judgment of God against the house of Ahab and was able reform religion from bad one to good one but he ultimately failed to lead the children of God in a path of total obedience to the laws of God.
Jehu 's half obedience to the laws of God, clearly show
in his failure to turn away from the sins of Jeroboam. Jeroboam had already standardized a system of idolatry in Israel, involving the worship of golden calves at Bethel and Dan.

Despite Jehu's religion reforms, he allowed this idolatrous system built by Jeroboam to remain in place.
This act made Israel to go astray from the true worship of God.

What I came to understand here in today's readings is that,
the consequences of Jehu's compromise were badly great.
Israel because of Jehu 's poor leadership, continue to face spiritual decline and ultimately experienced divine judgment.

I also learned that Jehu's reign serves as a reminder or calling our attention to the importance of serving God wholehearted and in obedience

And again we are to beware that there are dangers in compromising from true worship.
Thank you for reading through. Bye for now.
