Be Generous!

Happy last day of the month to this big family and community.
I want to encourage us this day from the Book of Deuteronomy chapter 15 verse 1 to the end But before I go ahead I would like to say that, any devotion that doesn't change live is a waste effort. Let us ensure that every thing shared affect our lives positively.

Deuteronomy chapter 15 talks about the Sabbath Year and the Year of Jubilee. It explains the importance of forgiving debts in the seventh year and setting slaves free, as a good example of God's forgiveness towards His people.

It also highlights and emphasizes on the best way to be generous towards the poor and not to be stingy or molest or treat the needy in a bad way, knowing that God will bless those who give freely.

There are key Verses in Deuteronomy chapter 15 that clearly stand out for me in today's readings.
Verse 1 to 6 stressed on Forgiveness of debts in the seventh year. Meaning that there is a special time in your life that God will clearly speak to you about that debt that someone owing you to just let it Go in Jewish culture the follow this 7th year as commanded by God. Yours might not be seventh year but anytime He speaks to you.
In verse 7 to 11, He calls them to be generous to the poor.
He gave instructions on dealing with Hebrew slaves in

verse 12-18.
And Command them to set slaves free in the Year of Jubilee
The main lesson of Deuteronomy 15 is to show compassion, generosity, and forgiveness towards others, showing God's character in our actions. It also called our attentions to treat others with kindness and to know that all we have comes from God or given to us by God,so we should be willing to share our blessings with those in need or poor.

Dear hivers, if you observe very well, you will agree with me that,
Jesus embodied the principles of forgiveness, compassion, and generosity taught in Deuteronomy 15. He forgave our debts which is our sins through His sacrifice on the cross, Giving us salvation from sin. As Children of God, we are called to follow His example by showing love and kindness to the poor or needy and others.
Thank you.Dont forget,Any devotion that doesn't change live is a waste efforts.
