Hello to all! I love historical architecture and what was my surprise when I saw the ancient church of Carlo Borromeo, which is currently a concert hall. This building was built in the Baroque style by the statesman of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Jan Karol Dolsky. The ancient building strikes with its beauty even today, but its main attraction is located inside. I invite you to a short virtual tour of the Concert Hall of the Church of Carlo Borromeo.
I got to this place on January 1, 2022. It was a moment when people were in a state of celebration. The Church of Carlo Borromeo was closed and I had already lost hope of getting inside the concert hall. But the female conductor kindly let me inside and allowed me to visit all the locations. The second floor is buried for visiting, but I managed to climb up. The passage is very narrow and the stairs are made of 18th century bricks. Unique.
The view from the VIP seats is amazing. The acoustics of the hall is made in such a way that the sound can be heard from any point of the large room.

I was doubly lucky. First of all, they let me in during the holidays. I was also lucky to see an exhibition of picturesque paintings from the exposition of the Museum of Belarusian Polissya. These paintings depict the work of local artists. They tried to portray the history of ancient Pinsk. I decided to take some pictures and share them with you.
Surprisingly, history has turned the ancient church into a concert hall and at the same time a museum. This is a wonderful application of historical architecture and landmarks. This is a cultural place with historical background. In black and white it looks atmospheric. I hope you liked it.
