Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!

Call me crazy, but I like toads. They are misunderstood creatures. Being afraid of them is a very common thing among women I know. At home, we were never afraid of these weird-looking amphibians. I think it is because we live in an area that use to be all mangroves. Humidity and the soil always attracts reptiles and other things. When it rains, you can see frogs, crabs and sometimes even snakes.

Toads are my favorites! There are always 2 in the house. Each takes their territory. There's one in the back yard. It isn't too much of a yard, but it is the place that yields more food. At least the easier kind to catch. The one in the front is usually smaller. It has it home in the actual garden. When the sky pours, its house gets flooded. Then, you can see it in other places. For example, these photos are a interesting take on what the toad does during rainy days.

It is there. Reminds me of an anime character having the bounce of the character development arc. It stays there under the rain until its been cleanse from all the bad stuff happening.

Capturing animals with a telephone's lens is hard. Getting close enough without it jumping away is ever harder. Hopefully these photos capture some of the magic that are these creatures. The one in the back yard is usually found in one of my boots. I don't know why, but I have found it many times there. Maybe I can get a photo of it next time!
