During my recent visit to the city of Bogotá, I must admit that I was left wanting to enjoy the nightlife more. Not because I had any bad experiences, but because I really had few opportunities to go out at night.
In part, this was because I was traveling for work reasons and couldn't afford to spend any nights in excess. However, the few times I was able to go out, albeit briefly, I enjoyed a couple of beers on each occasion and some pleasant conversation with a stranger.
These photos correspond to my brief stay in the Chorro de Quevedo, a popular bohemian neighborhood where I was able to try two excellent craft beers from the BBC brand. Throughout my trip, I tried around 4 or 5 different varieties from this brewery, all of them very good.
This area, very crowded with tourists and locals, is considered an "alternative" area of bars, artisans, and travelers.
There I met a Venezuelan immigrant dedicated to goldsmithing, who spoke to me with great knowledge about the precious stones of Colombia and Venezuela, as well as the differences in the trade of these minerals in each country and the advantage that local artisans have depending on the case.
That day, as is often the case in Bogotá, it also rained. Because of this, I spent most of the time sheltered in the bar and was only able to take a short walk around the area.

Vida nocturna monocromática
Durante mi reciente recorrido por la ciudad de Bogotá, debo admitir que me quedé con ganas de disfrutar más de las salidas nocturnas. No por haber tenido alguna mala experiencia, sino porque realmente tuve pocas oportunidades de salir por las noches.
En parte, esto se debió a que me encontraba de viaje por motivos laborales y no podía permitirme pasar alguna noche de excesos. Sin embargo, las pocas veces que pude salir, aunque brevemente, disfruté de un par de cervezas en cada ocasión y de alguna una amena conversación con algun extraño.
Estas fotos corresponden a mi breve estancia en el Chorro de Quevedo, un popular barrio bohemio donde pude degustar dos excelentes cervezas artesanales de la marca BBC. Durante todo mi viaje, probé alrededor de 4 o 5 variedades diferentes de esta cervecería, todas ellas muy buenas.
Esta zona, muy concurrida por turistas y locales, es considerada como un área "alternativa" de bares, artesanos y viajeros.
Allí conocí a una inmigrante venezolana dedicada a la orfebrería, quien me habló con gran conocimiento sobre las piedras preciosas de Colombia y Venezuela, así como las diferencias en el comercio de estos minerales en cada país y el provecho que tienen los artesanos locales según el caso.
Ese día, como suele ocurrir en Bogotá, también llovió. Debido a esto, pasé la mayor parte del tiempo resguardado en el bar y apenas pude hacer un pequeño recorrido por la zona.
