I'm Luiza, also known as Lu, or Lu da Langai, a freesurfer and salty storyteller from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I founded Langai, the first surfshop for women in Brazil. Our purpose is to inspire women to surf, encourage them and build a better world every day.
Since i started surfing - 8 years ago - my purpose was bring more women to water and somehow make them feel how the surf could change their's life. I've founded Langai with this mission, and we are the first surfshop and biggest community for women in Brazil.
What do i love most about surfing? I love to be more connected with nature and to value living the moments instead of acumulating things, i love to give a break on the life that is going faster and faster these days and i love to meet people with similar values around the world when i'm travelling to surf and finding new waves.
I always love to try new boards and desafiate myself! Now i'm rindig a short board 5'8" that is good for barreling and a single fin 6'6" that i like to ride when the waves are mellow. My only focus on surfing is to have some fun ;) If it's inside the barrels, better haha.
