A Scenic Golden Horizon

Hey there, fellow Hivians! Have you ever experienced the sheer magic of a sunset casting its glow over a peaceful lake? It's the kind of scene that makes your heart skip a beat and your fingers itch to grab your camera.

As a researcher in a science field, my journey into the field of photography may seem unexpected, yet it's woven intricately into the fabric of my life's passions. While I spent most of my time in the lab which is situated in the north-eastern part of India, mixing chemicals and running experiments, I found solace in the moments when I could escape to nature. It's not that I do not love my work, I adore what I do; but sometimes all you need is a calm and peaceful view of nature where you get lost in the beauty. It acts as an analgesic for your boring days with an unfathomably hectic schedule.

The day, I headed to a nearby lake and took the smartphone out of my pocket, curious to see if I could capture the stunning sunset. As I snapped away, something clicked inside me (pun intended!) and I realized that photography was more than just a hobby—it was a way for me to blend my scientific mind with a newfound appreciation for the world's beauty.

I couldn't help but experience a calmness that only nature's embrace could bring about. I was pleasantly surprised by the peace around me when I arrived at the lakeside location, the placid waters reflecting the blue sky overhead. As I got completely lost in the beauty of the surroundings and realized that the magnificent sunset that would soon touch the horizon—time seemed to stand still. The anticipation built with every second that went by and at last the sun started to set, illuminating the sea with a warm, golden glow. I was happy to be there to witness and record this moment of pure magic with my phone.

Oh, and let's not overlook those captivating reflections on the surface of the lake. They double the scene's elegance, like a supplementary gift from Mother Nature. As the sun dips lower, the water reflects the changing colors, doubling the visual treat. It's like stepping into a painting—one that's alive and ever-changing. And guess what? I've got front-row seats to this spectacular show!

The awe, the wonder, the sense of peace that washes over you as you watch the sun dip below the horizon—it's all part of the experience. I therefore never really paid attention to achieving the ideal shot. I concentrated on preserving the emotion, the instance and the memory that will continue to dwell in my mind long after the sun goes down.
