The beautiful Candi Dasa Beach

Candidasa Beach, which I've written about several times before, is truly a beautiful spot. The blue water, palm trees, black sandy shore, and colorful boats with outriggers make for a picturesque scene.

I walked to the beach along a very narrow road in front of a hotel called Puri Bagus Candi Dasa. I was there to pick up some clients for a trip, but since I had a little time to spare, I decided to explore the area.

As I arrived at the beach, I saw a boat coming in from the water. It had about three or four fishermen on board, and once they landed, they started unloading their catch—mostly cobs.

A group of women were waiting to collect the fish, placing the cobs into baskets to sell. The price? Incredibly cheap—just 20 cents per cob. I thought about buying some to cook at home, but then imagined the smell of fish in an air-conditioned car all day—definitely not practical. So, I passed on that idea.

Instead, I decided to simply enjoy the beautiful view of Candidasa Beach, soaking in the scenery since I couldn’t take home the fresh catch.

Maybe I will comeback some other time, when I don't go on trip with client just to buy the cheap fish. But, then again, it is rather foolish to travel 2 hours from my place just to buy the fish. Well, any way, just enjoy the beautiful beach.
