SAN MARCELINO, ZAMBALES - Known as the Singkamas Producing Capital of Zambales and the "Home of the Juiciest Singakamas", this town will conclude its week-long town fiesta celebration on February 25 with its colorful Singkamas Festival grand parade.
It is a first-class municipality in the province of Zambales and in 2002, the Singkamas festival was launched culminating its culture every last week of February which coincides with the town fiesta of San Marcelino.
The municipality is home to Mapanuepe Lake formed after the 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo.
On February 21, the DepEd was held in the Municipal Public Plaza which showcased talents in music and dance of elementary and high school students and teachers of DepEd and the Heads of Department of Education
Meanwhile, the LGU/Barangay Night and the Awarding of Huwarang Kabarangay were held on the night of February 21

The Wonder of San Marcelino,” the town fiesta commenced on February 19 with a Misa ng Bayan in the morning and an opening program in the afternoon held at the Municipal Public Plaza.
The weeklong festivity that started on Feb. 19 culminated on Sunday, Feb. 25, drawing thousands of people from different towns in the province and visitors across the country.

After two – years of suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Singkamas Festival, a celebration of the bounty harvest of singkamas in this town has made a comeback.
The centerpiece of the event was the street dance competition with contingents from seven local schools competing for the P100,000 prize for the festival championship, which was won by San Guillermo National High School.
Other activities in the festival included a grand civic parade, the Binibining San Mareline, a grand ball and balikbayan night, a music festival, and other shows.
On a normal day, vehicles would stop in the town proper, where all the sellers are lined up, to buy singkamas fresh from the fields in Barangay Linasin.
This festival is their way to acknowledge the singkamas vendors on their invaluable time and effort as they give credit to the whole community of San Marcelino.
