A Visit to Gaslamp District, Busay Cebu City

Holidays are different for our family. We only have rare instances when we can take a holiday break together with my husband. He usually works on holidays except of course for Christmas and New Year. For the rest of the legal holidays, he reports to work.

But this year's Holy Week holidays were different. He spent it with us because the store where he works was closed for maintenance! So we went to the mountains of Cebu City to take a break from the city noise.

Gaslamp District Busay - Our First Visit

Nestled on the hills overlooking Cebu City, Gaslamp District Busay offers a serene escape from the bustling urban landscape. It was not our first time to see the place, because, in the past, we just passed by and headed to another destination. This time we intended to visit.

With its breathtaking views, delectable cuisine, and charming ambiance, it beckons travelers and locals alike to unwind and indulge in the beauty of nature.

The road to Gaslamp District is ascending and winding with beautiful views of the mountains and the places below. My husband was a bit worried about our car. He worries we might not be able to reach the place but thank God we made it safe there. Our car is an old model. Despite its oldness, it has been our buddy in all our travels here in Cebu and Negros Islands. 🙂

After our arrival, we explored the grounds of Gaslamp District Busay. Everywhere we looked, there was beauty to behold – from the vibrant blooms adorning the pathways to the panoramic vistas of Cebu City below.

After enjoying the mountain breeze. we bought something to eat. Our stomachs were not that difficult to please, we just ordered simple foods our children liked.

We stayed for a couple of hours just chilling. It was already dark when we decided to leave the place and headed home.

Conclusion:

Our visit to Gaslamp Busay was another unforgettable experience for our family. We love to travel and visit new places together. My husband and I made a goal to create happy memories with our children while we still can before they have their own lives to take care of and will no longer stay with us, their parents.

Thank you for reading this far. If you visit Cebu City in the future, you might as well put this place on your itinerary and enjoy indulging yourself with nature.

Until our next adventure!

xoxo,
Met
