I'm in Kuala Lumpur!

Out of the Philippines after so many years.

This trip has proven to be such a challenging one. And it's not even done yet! 😅 I'll spare you the details now and write about them in my full travel blogs. I'm just so grateful to be here and experience Kuala Lumpur (and Malaysia). My first day was extremely tiring because of the travel but it was also really special because I met a fellow Hiver who gave me a proper welcome. I only knew him through Hive. I told him I was coming to KL, and he was game for a meet-up. He picked me up at my hotel and we had dinner at a famous Nasi Lemak place (Nasi Lemak Wanjo). We also had Cendol. He paid for the whole thing!

Then, he drove me around KL. He brought me to Brickfields, KL Sentral, Merdeka Square, Mid Valley, and KL Tower. He even offered to buy me some chocolates as pasalubong. I took him up on his offer, of course. 😅

He told me interesting things about Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia as we circled around the city. He initially planned on bringing me to a popular Mamak but it was already late and I was still so full. He brought me back to my hotel and I was blown away by the hospitality.

"It's not all the time we get to welcome visitors," he said something along those lines.

Thanks again, David (@davidke20)! 😁
