I had the opportunity to witness my friend's wedding few years ago and she was generous enough to let me take a photo of her dress. For privacy I am posting just the silhouette but all of this photos were taken with permission.

She used to be our spiritual mentor in a dorm back in our uni days. After her decade working for a non-profit, she moved on becoming a missionary when she visited the Yolanda-hit town of Medellin, Cebu. When she experienced how devastating the effect of the typhoon was, she decided to stay for good and help rebuild the community. Currently, she is a church leader, a missionary as well as farmer. She has a backyard farm propagating all types of vegetables as well as raising small animals like pig and chickens.

When she told us that she is going to finally pursue the path of marriage, we were very delighted as we have no idea that she was in a relationship because of her dedication to missionary life. I guess, God, finally heard her prayers and gave her the partner she needed in her passion and pursuit to serve people. We immediately said yes and told her that it is an honor to be part of the occasion. Her life is an epitome of servanthood. She serves without expecting anything in return.

Do you know someone you look up to that help you become the person you are today? Sounds about beauty a pageant question eh? Let me know in the comment.
