Grateful for Photography work #GiveThanks

Today I flew to Houston to do a photoshoot for a couple hours tomorrow.

Any other year traveling the country or world to do photoshoots would just be a given... but this year I do not take this stuff for granted and am very thankful for each job I get paid to do.

At the beginning of the pandemic was right around the time that winter ends and things traditionally pick up for photography in Utah... but instead I had several people cancel their wedding photography plans and postpone their weddings or just go get married at the local courthouse.
For several months very few people were doing any other types of photoshoots until they got a better handle on what it meant to them and their family health wise and also financially. Even then it was a light year for most photographers I know for any type of photography.
But there were a few weddings and then there were a few photoshoots for projects like The Chosen or the Piano Guys.

Through the year I've had just enough things to keep me busy enough to pay the bills and quiet enough to work on other projects like PeakD.com and travel with family and even remodel my Airstream 100%

So here I am writing from a Hotel room in Houston having the opportunity to meet up with an old friend for dinner and then tomorrow i'll be headed to the Houston Temple for the photoshoot then as a bonus perk I get to spend Thanksgiving with family that I don't think i've ever spent a holiday with... So that's an extra nice perk to be thankful for.

So thanks to my old friend Blake and his new wife Lauren for hiring me again for the pictures at the temple.

This will be the 5th time I've photographed them or their family this year

I also did family shoot in fall...

I think a couple more photoshoots with the family and I become an honorary member of the family. haha
