Vengo llenita de entusiasmo a escribir este post. Mi hermana y yo hace meses que pensábamos en emprender un negocio de postres, ella aún en Venezuela y yo desde Colombia.
Fui a buscarla a Venezuela, viajamos por tierra y desde que regresamos a Bogotá, hemos trabajado haciendo postres, vendiendo porciones de tortas, avisándole a todos los amigos que estamos trabajando en este proyecto para que nos ayuden a regar la voz.
Hemos tenido días buenos y días malos, nos hemos desesperado y nos hemos llenado de motivación mutuamente para seguir adelante.

I come full of enthusiasm to write this post. My sister and I had been thinking about starting a dessert business for months, she still in Venezuela and I from Colombia.
I went to look for her in Venezuela, we traveled by land and since we returned to Bogota, we have worked making desserts, selling portions of cakes, telling all our friends that we are working on this project to help us spread the word.
We have had good days and bad days, we have despaired and we have filled each other with motivation to keep going.
Comenzamos vendiendo con una cava, llevando los postres caminando a los domicilios que nos pedían.
Empezamos a ahorrar, vendimos un par de cosas que teníamos en casa sin usar y encargamos nuestro carrito para vender en el parque.
Hace un mes llegó nuestro carrito y ayer abrimos por primera ve en un parque cercano a nuestra casa. Aún no tenemos paraguas ni toldo para protegernos del sol ni la lluvia, tampoco tenemos aún los termos para vender café y aromática, pero sí tenemos postres deliciosos y muchas ganas de crecer.
Ayer ofrecimos alfajores, galletas de mantequilla, pastel de zanahoria y pastel de chocolate. Pasamos todo el día, vendimos casi toda los postres y llegamos en la noche a hornear otra torta para hoy, hicimos una de duraznos con chantilly, quedo realmente deliciosa.
He encontrado en la pastelería una forma linda de expresar cariño, es una responsabilidad hornear para otras personas.
We started selling with a cava, taking the desserts on foot to the homes that asked for them.
We started saving, sold a couple of things we had at home without using them and ordered our cart to sell in the park.
A month ago our cart arrived and yesterday we opened for the first time in a park near our house. We still don't have umbrellas or awnings to protect us from the sun and rain, nor do we have the thermoses to sell coffee and aromatic herbs, but we do have delicious desserts and a lot of desire to grow.
Yesterday we offered alfajores, butter cookies, carrot cake and chocolate cake. We spent the whole day, sold almost all the desserts and arrived at night to bake another cake for today, we made a peach cake with whipped cream, it was really delicious.
I have found in the bakery a nice way to express my love, it is a responsibility to bake for other people.
La que conoce más sobre los postres es mi hermana, yo soy su aprendiz y asistente de cocina, pero cada vez más me encargo de los postres también, hacerlos junto con ella cada semana es un aprendizaje que ha sido bastante rápido.
Ha sido un lindo fin de semana, poder materializar las metas, ver como hemos avanzado lo que antes era solo una idea es muy gratificante. Hay que creer y crear, no limitarnos tanto y si nos da miedo, pues hagamos realidad los sueños con miedo.
Nada cambia si nosotros mismos no cambiamos y empezamos a hacer las cosas que queremos, si nos esforzamos un poco más, el cansancio que se tiene cuando trabajamos en algo que nos importa es muy satisfactorio.
The one who knows more about desserts is my sister, I am her apprentice and kitchen assistant, but more and more I take care of the desserts too, making them together with her every week is a learning process that has been quite fast.
It has been a nice weekend, to be able to materialize the goals, to see how we have advanced what before was just an idea is very gratifying. We have to believe and create, not limit ourselves so much and if we are afraid, then let's make our dreams come true with fear.
Nothing changes if we ourselves do not change and start doing the things we want, if we make a little more effort, the tiredness that we have when we work on something that matters to us is very satisfying.
Ahora enfrentamos el miedo de grabarnos en vídeo, de promocionar por las redes sociales nuestros productos, ahora vamos a superar ese escalón para llegar a más personas y construir una comunidad que conozcan lo que hacemos. A veces tenemos miedo al rechazo, miedo a que no nos compren, miedo a mostrarnos vendiendo nuestros servicios o productos, pero lo cierto es que ese es un paso importante, creer en el valor de lo que ofrecemos.
Cada pasito es importante, y cuando sean tiempos menos favorables saber que todo pasa y llegan tiempos mejores, es importante no desanimarse cuando uno es emprendedor, saber que los crecimientos no son lineales.
Quería compartirles mi felicidad, desearles mucha felicidad en sus emprendimientos y que todo lo bueno que damos al mundo también se multiplique para cada uno de nosotros.
