Visit a dragon fruit garden and see the planting process firsthand.

The wind was blowing quite coldly on my body, even though I saw the hot sun up there and a thick jacket protecting my skin, I don't know, maybe it wasn't just the air that was cold or the wind was blowing too fast on my skin, but there was a heart that was frozen and melted a little when I saw it. a stretch of dragon fruit plantation in front of me. I don't know what is clear, I can smile when I see this plantation.

And you know why I am this happy to see this plantation, one answer is that this plantation is not in my city. This plantation is a dragon fruit plantation located at the foot of Mount Sinabung, which is one of the active Mount Merapi in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Even now, Mount Sinabung still occasionally erupts. However, the beauty of this place does not scare people, because the evacuation routes are also made very clear here.

Dragon fruit is my favorite fruit and I can eat a lot of this fruit alone and I like to process this dragon fruit into very delicious dishes and drinks. So when I found this garden I was very happy even though it would take a long time for this garden to harvest, because the dragon fruit here had just been planted, many of the dragon fruit seeds were still lying on the ground, meaning they were still there. land that needs to be planted with dragon fruit. And from this place I can see directly how dragon fruit tree seeds are planted, besides that, besides the dragon fruit seeds that are planted, they also plant other vegetables with a short life span or this system is usually called intercropping in my area.

I thought that initially the planting of dragon fruit trees came from dragon fruit seeds like spinach, for example, considering that there are a lot of dragon fruit seeds in the flesh of the fruit, but it turns out I was wrong. This dragon fruit tree was planted with the seeds of the dragon fruit tree itself which is of at the break of the branch, or what the term is I don't understand, and can you help me explain this. The dragon fruit seeds are planted and bamboo sticks are stuck around the dragon fruit so that the dragon fruit seeds remain standing in their place and do not fall. And apart from seeing the planting of dragon fruit seeds directly, I also got the bonus of coffee berries that were starting to ripen there, and I was allowed to pick them. Apart from that, the bonus of the mountain views also made me feel at home visiting here. And my jealousy when I saw this plantation was how I could have such a large fruit garden. hopefully someday.
