Hello friends of Hive and gamer community, for a while I wanted to talk about a game that has been in my life for several years and to which I have returned with renewed enthusiasm in recent days. If you know me a little, you know that I'm a big Pokémon fan, and my favorite video game in this universe is and will be Emerald. I fondly remember the first time I played it and all the time I spent playing it. Maybe I like Pokémon Reloaded so much because it makes me feel like Emerald, a huge world that needs to be explored, full of mysteries and hidden surprises.
Reloaded is a game made by fans for fans, therefore, it is not an official game of the franchise. Its developer, according to the information I have found, goes by the name F3R and maintains a very active profile on X. Moreover, Reloaded is not his only proposal, but perhaps the one that stands out the most.
The game stands out for its unique combat mechanics, saying goodbye to the classic turn-based combat and giving us full control of our Pokémon and its attacks. The PP become automatic recharge, each one with its own charge time, being able to use them at will and with total freedom. Another aspect that I really enjoy is the possibility of choosing Pokémon companions for our adventure, which we can take at will from their pokeball and make them accompany us.
When we start our adventure, we will be given to choose our character with a good list of sprites of classic characters, highlighting our beloved protagonist of the anime and, as usual, our rival, being able to change their name for further customization.
Our adventure takes place in a new region, the Star Region, which seems to be the cradle of Pokémon biodiversity due to its rich variety of creatures and forms from other regions. There will be no shortage of classic enemy teams that will do their best to make our adventure and our goal, the gym medals, difficult. Some faces will be familiar to us and others will be new. It is worth mentioning that some of the events that happened in the anime will be enjoyed in sprites, which every fan will be grateful for.
The controls aren't for everyone.
Perhaps the most negative point of this fan game is the amount of controls that occupies. Being practically exclusive to PC, the use of keys can be a real headache. With more than 20 different keys with different actions, it is normal to feel frustrated the first time we play it and incredibly necessary to use the help and even notes to not forget them all.
As a personal experience, using the JoyToKey program I managed to configure my controller with a minimum of the most important functions, making the gaming experience more bearable. Of course, the game itself also comes with the option to assign different keys, which can help us a bit in finding our own comfort.

Without a doubt, the large number of Pokémon available, with animations both in and out of combat that are well cared for and fluid, is very striking. Completing the Pokédex is a practically impossible challenge, but we will enjoy trying, adding a menu with achievements that will also be a delight for the best collectors and lovers of having everything at 100%. The wild Pokémon will not be as invasive and monotonous as in other official deliveries, especially for the variety, although as always, beware of the caves. We will also have our legendaries and some other surprises.

Hola amigos de Hive y comunidad gamer, hace rato quería hablar de un juego que lleva ya varios años en mi vida y al que he regresado con ganas renovadas en los últimos días. Si me conoces un poco, sabes que soy un gran fan de Pokémon, y mi videojuego favorito dentro de este universo es y será Esmeralda. Recuerdo con mucho gusto la primera vez que lo jugué y todo el tiempo que le dediqué. Quizás me gusta tanto Pokémon Reloaded porque me hace sentir como Esmeralda, un mundo enorme que necesita ser explorado, lleno de misterios y sorpresas ocultas.
Reloaded es un juego hecho por fans y para fans, por lo tanto, no es un juego oficial de la franquicia. Su desarrollador, según la información que he encontrado, se hace llamar F3R y mantiene un perfil bien activo en X. Además, Reloaded no es su única propuesta, pero quizás sí la que más destaca.
El juego sobresale por su mecánica única en el combate, diciendo adiós al clásico combate por turnos y entregándonos el control total de nuestro Pokémon y sus ataques. Los PP pasan a ser de recarga automática, cada uno con su distinto tiempo de carga, pudiendo usarlos a nuestro antojo y con total libertad. Otro aspecto que disfruto mucho es la posibilidad de escoger compañeros Pokémon para nuestra aventura, que podremos sacar a voluntad de su pokeball y hacer que nos acompañen.
Al comenzar nuestra aventura, se nos dará a escoger nuestro personaje con una buena lista de sprites de personajes clásicos, destacando nuestro querido protagonista del animé y, como es costumbre, a nuestro rival, pudiendo cambiarles el nombre para una mayor personalización.
Nuestra aventura ocurre en una nueva región, la Región Star, que parece ser la cuna de la biodiversidad Pokémon debido a su rica variedad de criaturas y formas de otras regiones. No faltarán los clásicos equipos enemigos que harán hasta lo imposible por ponernos difícil nuestra aventura y nuestra meta, las medallas de gimnasios. Algunas caras se nos harán conocidas y otras serán nuevas. Mención aparte será disfrutar en sprites algunos eventos ocurridos en el animé que todo fan agradece.
Los controles no son para todo el mundo
Quizás el punto más negativo de este fan game es la cantidad de controles que ocupa. Siendo prácticamente exclusivo de PC, el uso de teclas puede ser un verdadero dolor de cabeza. Con más de 20 teclas distintas con acciones diferentes, es normal sentirse frustrado la primera vez que lo jugamos e increíblemente necesario el uso de la ayuda y hasta notas para no olvidarlas todas.
Como una experiencia personal, utilizando el programa JoyToKey logré configurar mi control con un mínimo de las funciones más importantes, haciendo la experiencia de juego más llevadera. Eso sí, el propio juego también trae la opción de asignar teclas distintas, lo que puede ayudarnos un poco en buscar nuestra propia comodidad.

Sin dudas llama mucho la atención la gran cantidad de Pokémon disponibles, con unas animaciones tanto dentro como fuera del combate bien cuidadas y fluidas. Completar la Pokédex es un reto prácticamente imposible, pero que disfrutaremos de intentarlo, sumándose un menú con logros que también será una delicia para los mejores coleccionistas y amantes de tenerlo todo al 100%. Los Pokémon salvajes no serán tan invasivos y monótonos como en otras entregas oficiales, sobre todo por la variedad, aunque como siempre, cuidado con las cuevas. También tendremos nuestros legendarios y alguna que otra sorpresa.
Sin dudas, un juego que merece la pena, sobre todo si ya has jugado los clásicos tantas veces y quieres una experiencia distinta. Pueden encontrar toda la información necesaria en su blog oficial Pokémon Edición Reloaded y poner manos a la obra para jugarlo con solo unos clics.
